03 Feb '07

A new website should be rolled out by monday but till then lets go over a few things. http://jira.freeswitch.org for bug tracking http://fisheye.freeswitch.org for source viewer Use these for bugs and source viewing. On another note... We are trying to work on a hardware abstraction layer for TDM hardware for both digital and analog lines. Can anyone wishing to be involved in this please join #freeswitch on IRC and we can outline an API/IOCTL list that we would like to see to interface with hardware from our software layer. Thanks, Brian West

Bug in Freeswitch rev. 4107 !? switch_channel_answer() causes one-way-audio
by Dirk Schenkewitz 03 Feb '07

03 Feb '07

Hi all, today I noticed that audio works only in one direction if mod_bridgecall contains a call to switch_channel_answer(). I don't know yet at which revision this stopped working. The patch to demonstrate/trigger the problem is a one-liner (plus a comment), please see attachment. Without this line, mod_bridgecall works fine - with it, I don't hear the other party (when it answers the call). Of course, calling switch_channel_answer() makes no sense on its own but it is needed if you want to send dtmf data to freeswitch before the other party answers... or even before calling another party. If that's already enough to find the cause and fix it, please do. In the meantime I try going back some revisions... Best regards Dirk

sofia module doesn't re-register in special case
by michael papet 02 Feb '07

02 Feb '07

Hi, In doing some more testing, I discovered that when I restart my sip server with freeswitch still running, (it will show the register fail) sofia claims to register, but does not do so until I restart freeswitch. MP

by Paweł Pierścionek 24 Jan '07

24 Jan '07

Hi, With the new split config thingy I cannot get xml_rpc.conf.xml to be included :( If I copy the content of this file to the main freeswitch.xml than everything is ok but if I use the template's #include xml_rpc.conf.xml then I get this error in the log: 2007-01-24 03:23:30 [ERR] mod_xml_rpc.c:76 do_config() open of xml_rpc.conf failed and xml_rpc port is being set to 0 (=random).
