[Freeswitch-dev] Module segfault
by Juan Antonio Ibañez Santorum 28 May '16

28 May '16

Hello, I built one module similar to mod_niblebill for billing puroses. It works ok but sometimes I get a segfault and I don't understand why. The code I use in my application for generating outgoing session is: ------------------------------ status = switch_ivr_originate(session, &peer_session, &cause, cadena_marcado_tmp, 0, NULL, rt->callerid_name, rt->callerid_number, NULL, NULL, SOF_NONE, NULL); if(status == SWITCH_STATUS_SUCCESS){ if (switch_channel_test_flag(caller_channel, CF_PROXY_MODE)) { switch_log_printf(SWITCH_CHANNEL_LOG, SWITCH_LOG_NOTICE, "%s: Llamada switch_ivr_signal_bridge\n", rt->uuid); switch_ivr_signal_bridge(session, peer_session); } else { switch_channel_t *channel = switch_core_session_get_channel(session); switch_channel_t *peer_channel = switch_core_session_get_channel(peer_session); char *a_key = (char *) switch_channel_get_variable(channel, "bridge_terminate_key"); char *b_key = (char *) switch_channel_get_variable(peer_channel, "bridge_terminate_key"); int ok = 0; //switch_input_callback_function_t func = NULL; rt->peer_channel = peer_channel; rt->peer_profile = switch_channel_get_caller_profile(peer_channel); if (a_key) { a_key = switch_core_session_strdup(session, a_key); ok++; } if (b_key) { b_key = switch_core_session_strdup(session, b_key); ok++; } if (switch_true(switch_channel_get_variable(caller_channel, SWITCH_BYPASS_MEDIA_AFTER_BRIDGE_VARIABLE)) || switch_true(switch_channel_get_variable(peer_channel, SWITCH_BYPASS_MEDIA_AFTER_BRIDGE_VARIABLE))) { switch_channel_set_flag(caller_channel, CF_BYPASS_MEDIA_AFTER_BRIDGE); } switch_core_session_enable_heartbeat(session, rt->heartbeat_interval); // Bridge switch_ivr_multi_threaded_bridge(session, peer_session, NULL, NULL, NULL); if(peer_channel){ if((peer_profile = switch_channel_get_caller_profile(peer_channel))){ } rt->codec_out = switch_core_strdup(pool, switch_channel_get_variable(peer_channel, "write_codec")); } switch_core_session_disable_heartbeat(session); } } ------------------------------ At the end of the application function y use this code to do some tasks if the call gets answered: ------------------------------ ... if(dc->rt->peer_channel && switch_channel_test_flag(dc->rt->peer_channel, CF_ANSWERED)){ // Tasks if answered } ... ------------------------------ I don't understand why sometimes switch_channel_test_flag generate a segfault. GDB stack trace is: ------------------------------ #0 0x00007f2947415420 in pthread_mutex_lock () from /lib64/libpthread.so.0 #1 0x00007f2948e522f3 in switch_channel_test_flag (channel=0x7f2934558a30, flag=CF_ANSWERED) at src/switch_channel.c:1539 #2 0x00007f292950dcf6 in procesar_hangup (session=0x7f293826b998) at /usr/src/instalacion/09freeswitch/freeswitch-1.4.23/src/mod/applications/mod_svbilling/mod_svbilling.c:4743 #3 0x00007f29295153a8 in do_routing (session=0x7f293826b998) at /usr/src/instalacion/09freeswitch/freeswitch-1.4.23/src/mod/applications/mod_svbilling/mod_svbilling.c:3937 #4 0x00007f2948e7d4d0 in switch_core_session_exec (session=0x7f293826b998, application_interface=0xd73208, arg=0x7f293429d550 "process") at src/switch_core_session.c:2754 #5 0x00007f2948e7da32 in switch_core_session_execute_application_get_flags ( session=0x7f293826b998, app=0x7f293429d540 "svbillingapp", arg=0x7f293429d550 "process", flags=<value optimized out>) at src/switch_core_session.c:2624 #6 0x00007f2948e81794 in switch_core_standard_on_execute ( session=0x7f293826b998) at src/switch_core_state_machine.c:283 #7 switch_core_session_run (session=0x7f293826b998) at src/switch_core_state_machine.c:535 #8 0x00007f2948e7c23e in switch_core_session_thread ( thread=<value optimized out>, obj=0x7f293826b998) at src/switch_core_session.c:1607 ... ------------------------------ The generated core can be downloaded at: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/45510863/coretx/core.zip and the line generating the segfault inside switch_channel.c is ------------------------------ switch_mutex_lock(channel->flag_mutex); ------------------------------ I suppose I am doing something in a wrong way but I don't know which one. Do anyone knows why? Regards

[Freeswitch-dev] About video broadcasting
by zhou Yu 27 May '16

27 May '16

Hi I am a researcher in dialog system field. We built a system using Freeswitch as the front to collect conversation videos. I have a question about the Freeswitch video recording component. Freeswitch streams the video and saves it incrementally. I need to extract the head position of the human in the video in real time. I have a head tracker that can access the video stream from a webcam and process the video stream from the webcam in real time. But I am not sure how to stream the incrementally recorded video from Freeswitch to my head tracker. Could Freeswitch broadcast the video to somewhere else? Or Could you point me to where I can modify Freeswitch to integrate my head tracker in? Another small question is can the audio be broadcast the same way? Thanks a lot! -- Best Wishes Zhou Yu http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~zhouyu/ Language Technology Institute School of Computer Science Carnegie Mellon University

[Freeswitch-dev] BLF for Conference Status
by alberto Villa 25 May '16

25 May '16

Hello, I have 4 phones, 3 will join a conference room called 'myConf' and I'm trying to get BLF status for this conference on the fourth phone, which will eventually join the conference by pulling the related BLF button. On the phone I want BLF I set to monitor the status using 'sip:myConf@192.168.0.252' (which works when monitorning a normal sip user), then I tried the followings: Set the <advertise> field like this <advertise> <room name="myConf@$${subdomain}"/> </advertise> in conf/autoload_configs/conference.conf.xml but this doesn't work. Set: <action application="set" data="presence_id=myConf@${domain_name}"/> in my dialplan before setting up the conference, still doesn't work. Issuing: presence in myConf(a)192.168.0.252 on-the-phone "on the phone" from fs_cli, but still doesn't work. The only thing I got working is to manually send the event using ESL like this: event = freeswitch.Event('PRESENCE_IN'); event:addHeader('proto', 'sip'); event:addHeader('from', 'myConf'..'@'..'192.168.0.252'); event:addHeader('login', 'myConf'..'@'..'192.168.0.252'); event:addHeader('event_type', 'presence'); event:addHeader('alt_event_type', 'dialog'); event:addHeader('Presence-Call-Direction', 'outbound'); event:addHeader('state', 'active'); event:addHeader('unique-id', uuid); event:addHeader('event_count', '1') event:addHeader('answer-state', 'confirmed'); event:fire(); In this case the BLF correctly lights up, but when the phone issues a new "SUBSCRIBE" request the BLF is cleared. Wrapping up: is there a way to use BLF to monitor the status of a conference call from a phone not invited when the conference is set up? [Freeswitch-dev] mod_shout on Centos 7.2
by Hussein Said 18 May '16

18 May '16

Hello, I am trying to build mod_shout but haven't been successful on Centos 7, using FS 1.6.8 sources and deps from http://sourceforge.net/projects/mpg123/files/mpg123/1.22.1/mpg123-1.22.1.ta…. When I run make inside the mod_shout modules directory, it complains about not finding libmpg123. configure is expecting libmpg123 v > 1.16.0 and i have built and installed what seems to be libmpg123 v 1.22. Note that when I manually run pkg-config --cflags --libs libmpg123, nothing comes back. I tried to use a pre built rpm for FS, but the RPM does not contain all the mods that I need. Any help is much appreciated. kr hussein

[Freeswitch-dev] Call center module config caching with xml curl
by Nicholas Tunstall 16 May '16

16 May '16

We're currently using the call center and xml curl modules to pull the xml config on every inbound call. We've encountered an issue where if a queue had already been called once freeswitch won't make another call to grab the queue config via curl. The problem we have is if the queue members/strategies etc get changed we have no way to cleanly get the call center module to update it's internal database/memory copy. I've tested this using both the default callcenter.db and odbc database types, does anyone know a clean way to force the module to pull the config on each call?
