[Freeswitch-dev] mod_shout on Centos 7.2
Hello, I am trying to build mod_shout but haven't been successful on Centos 7, using FS 1.6.8 sources and deps from http://sourceforge.net/projects/mpg123/files/mpg123/1.22.1/mpg123-1.22.1.tar.... When I run make inside the mod_shout modules directory, it complains about not finding libmpg123. configure is expecting libmpg123 v > 1.16.0 and i have built and installed what seems to be libmpg123 v 1.22. Note that when I manually run pkg-config --cflags --libs libmpg123, nothing comes back. I tried to use a pre built rpm for FS, but the RPM does not contain all the mods that I need. Any help is much appreciated. kr hussein
We don't package that lib due to patent issues. we use pkg-config to find it. Verify that the pkg-config .pc file is in the right place and correct.

Ah, it used to be on Centos 6 for the 1.4 branch, but never came across a note of such. Thanks for the tip. Anyways, I tracked down a version of the devel rpm from this location http://downloads2.goautodial.org/centos/7/current/x86_64/RPMS/, installed it and now I can build 1.6.8 on Centos 7.2. libmp3lame is part of lame. There's a src.rpm here: ftp://fr2.rpmfind.net/linux/rpmfusion/free/fedora/updates/testing/23/SRPMS/lame-3.99.5-5.fc23.src.rpm Since it's for F23 the spec file may need some tweaking to rebuild on EL7. HTH, Patrick
