[Freeswitch-dev] Conference recording pause/resume problem
by Mariusz Czulada 13 Jul '12

13 Jul '12

Hi, I try to prepare a patch which allows to pause/resume a given recording. I'm in the middle of the road: pause is working, by resume - not :(. I'd like to ask for your help in finding a problem. I'm not sure if I handle member and file flags in the thread sub correctly. BTW. I lost some time playing with member-fnode until found fh in conference_record_thread_run is a proper handler. What is the conference_file_node_t member->fnode used for, if not for handling a recording file? Regards, Mariusz

[Freeswitch-dev] msrp support
by Seven Du 31 Jan '12

Hi, We are working on msrp support in FS. With the following patch to lib sofia, the msrp SDP can deliver to mod_sofia http://pastebin.freeswitch.org/17944 questions: 1) should I submit this to our jira or to the the sofia team? Any suggestions on the patch? 2) As FS is a B2BUA, so I think it would be endpoint-to-endpoint bridge, then we need start TCP/MSRP thread to handle media a. It should more like video handling or more like fax ? That means to hack bridge code to also handle msrp, or should we implement api like tx_fax/rx_fax vs tx_msrp/rxmsrp? b. for text over msrp, is it possible to routing the chatplan like mod_sms c. the first stage would be just endpoint to endpoint, shoud we implement relay ? or even switch mode for conference? I'm very new to msrp. 3) we found a msrp lib from http://confiance.sourceforge.net/ . It's GPL, I know it's not license compatible, but as I learned from previous talk about video, the code can put elsewhere and we just implement the logic to hook them on. Or other lib we could use? Any suggestion is appreciated. Seven. -- About: http://about.me/dujinfang Blog: http://www.dujinfang.com Proj: http://www.freeswitch.org.cn Sent with Sparrow (http://www.sparrowmailapp.com)

[Freeswitch-dev] Epoch current time difference
by Glaucio Vaz de Mello 10 Jan '12

10 Jan '12

Hello, I noticed a difference between FreeSWITCH time and system clock time. Is this a standard behaviour? or something is wrong in my system? More details of the issue: Inside FreeSWITCH I look for current epoch time using this function: time_t now = switch_epoch_time_now(NULL); Then I look for system clock current time using: #include <time.h> time_t now = time(NULL); Between both results I noticed a difference of 9 seconds. This can also be viewed using Unix commands. Unix date command from console: # date +%s 1314741992 Then, I start a call and make a DB query: # sqlite3 /var/freeswitch/db/core.db "SELECT call_created_epoch FROM calls;" 1314742000 Then I repeat unix date command: # date +%s 1314741994 Any comments are welcome. Regards, Glaucio

Re: [Freeswitch-dev] [Freeswitch-users] Caller ID on Analog Lines
by Muhammad Shahzad 24 Dec '11

24 Dec '11

I think India uses polarity reversal to indicate start of caller id on PRI line, which i guess is not fully supported by FreeTDM yet. However, you can try the following FreeTDM options, though i am not sure if they will work. <param name="tonegroup" value="in" /> <param name="enable-callerid" value="true" /> <param name="answer-polarity-reverse" value="true" /> You may try to set last parameter to false and test again. Do let us know if it works or not. I am not much familiar with FreeTDM code, nor got the equipment to test, so for those who have, please see below link regarding same problem in Asterisk and how they solved it, https://issues.asterisk.org/print_bug_page.php?bug_id=6683 Hope this helps. Thank you. [Freeswitch-dev] Managed module similar to mod_skypopen
by Papineni, Suneel 19 Dec '11

19 Dec '11

Hi, I want to write a managed module in c# which is similar to mod_skypopen module. In fact I am trying to understand mod_skypopen module and exploring the possibilities of writing it as a managed module in C# with the options of interfaces and skype users and other features. This is for my understanding and learning purposes about managed modules. Could someone please guide me how to add interfaces and handle calls that comes to these interfaces in managed code. Note: I looked into the examples that are provided at http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Mod_managed and tried to understand the basics. Thanks & Regards Suneel
