[Freeswitch-dev] FreeSWITCH and Twilio
by Michael Nielsen 13 Oct '15

13 Oct '15

Hello everyone, I'm trying to setup FreeSWITCH with Twilio - to place outbound calls. I've created a SIP trunk in Twilio and are now trying to terminate calls via Twilio - all 10 digit calls should go this way (2 digit country code and 8 digit number - Danish numbers). This is my twilio.xml in sip_profiles/external: <include> <gateway name="Twilio-outbound"> <param name="username" value="MY-USER"/> <param name="password" value="MY-PASSWORD" /> <param name="proxy" value="MY-SIP.pstn.twilio.com"/> <param name="register" value="false"/> </gateway> </include> This is my 02_twilio.xml in dialplan/default/: <include> <extension name="international.twilio"> <condition field="${toll_allow}" expression="international"/> <condition field="destination_number" expression="^(\d{10})$"> <action application="set" data="effective_caller_id_number=${outbound_caller_id_number}"/> <action application="set" data="effective_caller_id_name=${outbound_caller_id_name}"/> <action application="bridge" data="sofia/gateway/Twilio-outbound/$1"/> </condition> </extension> </include> When I try and make a call for a Danish number (for example 4512345678) I get a "Bad Request 400". This is my FS log: freeswitch@MY-SIP> 2015-07-23 07:19:45.745254 [NOTICE] switch_channel.c:1075 New Channel sofia/internal/ 4561912233(a)MY-SIP.MY-DOMAIN.com [4af1a50e-5145-4ad8-8b9a-499a27e9e3ec] 2015-07-23 07:19:45.905238 [INFO] mod_dialplan_xml.c:635 Processing 4561912233 <4561912233>->4512345678 in context default 2015-07-23 07:19:45.905238 [NOTICE] switch_channel.c:1075 New Channel sofia/external/4512345678 [54267cad-615c-478a-9ecc-61950a995068] 2015-07-23 07:19:45.905238 [NOTICE] sofia.c:7543 Hangup sofia/external/4512345678 [CS_CONSUME_MEDIA] [NORMAL_TEMPORARY_FAILURE] 2015-07-23 07:19:45.925245 [INFO] mod_dptools.c:3276 Originate Failed. Re: [Freeswitch-dev] [Freeswitch-users] FreeSWITCH Unstable Repo
by Michael Jerris 12 Oct '15

For core freeswitch, likely yes. For the deps, someone will have to do the work and find out. I'd prefer to do this under cowbuilder along side how we build for all other platfroms, but someone will need to do the work to figure out what all exactly is necessary to make it happen. > On Jun 18, 2015, at 11:23 AM, Stanislav Sinyagin <ssinyagin(a)gmail.com> wrote: > > Does cross-compiling work? [Freeswitch-dev] FreeSWITCH Automated Testing
by Brian West 03 Aug '15

03 Aug '15

FreeSWITCHers, So after a bit discussion, a case of red bull, an approach to automating functional testing has now solidified. Audio Path is verified via DTMF in-band, Video Path is verified by using QR codes. Here are two VERY crude examples: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4fkdcgzo8dt0hdr/conference_test.pl?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/497rm2hgopp5u7h/eavesdrop_test.pl?dl=0 Input? -- *Brian West* brian(a)freeswitch.org *Twitter: @FreeSWITCH , @briankwest* http://www.freeswitchbook.com http://www.freeswitchcookbook.com Got Bugs? [Freeswitch-dev] Record in WAV IEEE float format
by Zoltán Szabó 24 Jul '15

24 Jul '15

Hi, I would like to record in Wave IEEE float signed 32bit, 8000hz 256kbps, mono format. For this I can set the record_stereo to false in the session and tried to modify mod_sndfile.c to configure the format, so far I tried like: if (mode & SFM_WRITE) { context->sfinfo.channels = handle->channels; context->sfinfo.samplerate = handle->samplerate; context->sfinfo.format = SF_FORMAT_WAV | SF_FORMAT_FLOAT; } But I receive some weird data when trying to load up the wav in goldwave. The format looks fine but the data is not. Do you have any suggestion? Many thanks, Zoltan

[Freeswitch-dev] Verto commands, guaranteed order?
by Chad Phillips 20 Jul '15

Are API commands sent via Verto guaranteed to be executed on the server in the order they are sent from the Verto client?

[Freeswitch-dev] Sending non-integer id values for conference commands in Verto.
by Chad Phillips 19 Jul '15

19 Jul '15

I’ve been able to send conference commands through Verto successfully. However, I’ve discovered a limitation in the functionality — commands can only be sent if they are for a specific conferee, by their member_id. This is so because conference_event_mod_channel_handler() in conference_event.c forces the id argument passed via verto.broadcast to be an integer. The reason I’m starting here instead of a Jira is that I’m unsure if this is by design or is a bug or missing feature. Do y’all want this handler function to be able to accept the full range of values supported by the underlying mod_conference API? Most conference API commands that accept a member_id also have some selector strings you can use as well (all|last|non_moderaor) — these currently all fail when sent via Verto because of the above-mentioned implementation. My view is that since these are exposed as commands available to a moderator, and the moderator already has the capability to perform these commands on any conferee, there should be no issue supporting the other selectors from a security standpoint. What I’d like to do is submit a patch to fix this issue, if y’all do in fact think that’s the best approach. If yes to a patch, some feedback on the best implementation would also be helpful. The easiest implementation would be to always treat id as a string, and let the underlying conference API throw an error if an invalid value is passed. As soon as I get some feedback I’m happy to start working on the patch. Chad
