[Freeswitch-dev] RTCP Sender report in v1.2.stable
by Julien Chavanton 07 Jul '14

07 Jul '14

Hi Folks, We are using using adaptive codecs such as Silk and Opus with Freeswitch, in order to benefit from "ptime", "bitrate" and other adaptive behaviour provided by the codec we need RTCP sender reports (and later RCTP XR) We have implemented RTCP sender statistics in Freeswitch from branch v1.2.stable We would to submit this modification to the project. Attached is a git patch. At this point it was tested in a lab only, we will make further review and validation. But I have not doubt the best review we can get is from this list. Much appreciated, Julien

Re: [Freeswitch-dev] [Freeswitch-users] FreeSWITCH 1.4.4 Released!
by Ken Rice 05 Jul '14

05 Jul '14

Yes it is... 1.4.0 1.4.3 were beta tracking releases and were all quite stable... 1.2 branch is being EOL¹d and will receive only critical security and bug fixes going forward. [Freeswitch-dev] Dynamic gateway with freeswitch
by Steve Ng 04 Jul '14

04 Jul '14

Hi, My scenario is as follows: my users subscribed to a sip trunk provider each having their own sip account and I want them to connect as such: their browser to JSSIP to to Freeswitch then to the sip trunk end point when making. Given that freeswitch have the public gateway concept, can I dynamically change the gateway username and password to the ones provided by the user? Or would there be an alternative solution? Regards, Steve

[Freeswitch-dev] Explicit/automatic choose codec module
by Wolfgang Pichler 01 Jul '14

01 Jul '14

Hi all, i do have a g729 transcoding card in my freeswitch box, working really smooth. But sometimes i do have 1-5 calls more then free channels on the transcoding card. For this is would be perfect if i would be able to switch to the freeswitch g729 module if the transcoding card module is full (mod_sangoma_codec). this seems not to be possible currently. Would it be a big challenge to implement a codec module order with freeswitch ? So - for G729 for example first order is mod_sangoma_codec, second is mod_g729 ? Or to be able to choose the module by setting a variable on the call g729_module=mod_sangoma_codec|mod_g729 ? br, Wolfgang
