Hi, The swig code in there builds a binary module against libfreeswitch. so if you load that module from the embedded python interpreter you can use those calls from your script to call freeswitch code. stop by irc if you want some more info. mod_spidermonkey bug
by Mike Murdock 14 Nov '06

14 Nov '06

There is definately a bug in the mod_spidermonkey.c garbage clenaup code. The symptoms are as follows.. Make 1 call from uac to simple javascript app that answers, plays a audio file (starwars.raw), and hangs up. While call #1 going place a second call. Audio is heard on both uac's. Hang up call #1 and redial. Call gets answered but no audio is heard. Looks like the javascript applications gets called but execution is blocked. MikeJ suggested I comment out the JS_SuspendRequest(cx), JS_ResumeRequest(cx, saveDepth) in session_execute, and JS_BeginRequest in js_parse_and_execute. I then retested.. The problem previously described went away (as did the problem we where having with sipp Tony) but now FS seg faults after 40-50 calls to the javascript app. --Mike Murdock

New code

If you update the code be sure to reissue ./configure and do "make sure" there were a bunch of changes to the core in the last commit and you dont want to get stumped by legacy binaries. Right now, I kind of run make from the root directory, just wondering there must a way to run make for the current module i'm working on. Thanks guy, Johny K.

Some questions [JB, EC, etc.]
by Tamas 26 Oct '06

26 Oct '06

Hello, I'm thinking about using freeswitch as a core for a softphone and for this I would need to know some things. - Is there a plan to make a jitterbuffer for FS in foreseen future? - Is there a plan to make a software echo canceler (especially for mod_portaudio)? Packet-loss canceler? - Is it possible to use speex's echo cancelation? - Is there a plan to use the advanced features of the speex codec like VBR, quality? - Is there a plan to move to speex-1.2beta1? - RTCP for quality measurement? - Is it possible to compile everything into one binary file (elf/exe/etc.)? - How to use sRTP? I know that those are not easy questions and the paypal button might help to accelerate, I'm just curious what are the plans, thoughts, etc. Thanks in advance, Tamas
