SIP-T
by Josip Djuricic 30 Jun '07

30 Jun '07

Hi Everyone, my first post, maybe a stupid question - maybe it's already implemented though haven't found any mention of it in docs. So here's the question...anyone thinking of SIP-T implementation? And also MGCP implementation... There's still many device's out there that use MGCP, and some of them like Motorola CMTS based system's only use MGCP NCS. And SIP-T is needed for interoperability and interconnection's with many Softswitches (some of them have only SIP-T and SSN7)? Thanks in advance. Josip Djuricic

PDF documentation
by Trixter aka Bret McDanel 26 Jun '07

26 Jun '07

I have written a program that will spider through the wiki and create a PDF of the documentation on a nightly basis. It is available at http://www.0xdecafbad.com/files/fsdoc.pdf and is updated at 8 am GMT. The better the wiki documentation is the better the PDF is. At last count it was 460 pages and about 1.5M, but there is still much to be done to get the documentation better, so if you see something that is missing, please add it to the wiki. Please send all formatting and rendering bugs directly to me, as I am the only one that can change those. Also let me know if pages are out of order. Page titles, page content, etc can be fixed directly on the wiki itself. -- Trixter http://www.0xdecafbad.com Bret McDanel Belfast +44 28 9099 6461 US +1 516 687 5200 http://www.trxtel.com the phone company that pays you!

Problems with release version
by Sluschny, Thomas 21 Jun '07

Hi, i downloaded the freeswitch snapshot from 16.06.07 and compiled it (with 2 little probs, i wrote it). Now i see that only the debug version is ok, with release version i get a "null pointer exception" (0xC0000005: access exception on position 0x00000060) on every call i make (portaudio->sofia and vv). Last log entries: 2007-06-19 18:08:25 [DEBUG] mod_dialplan_xml.c:372 dialplan_hunt() PortAudio/60(a)192.168.1.12 State Change CS_RING -> CS_EXECUTE 2007-06-19 18:08:25 [DEBUG] switch_core_session.c:647 switch_core_session_signal_state_change() Kill PortAudio/60(a)192.168.1.12 [BREAK] 2007-06-19 18:08:25 [DEBUG] mod_portaudio.c:481 channel_kill_channel() PortAudio/60(a)192.168.1.12 CHANNEL KILL 2007-06-19 18:08:25 [DEBUG] switch_core_state_machine.c:447 switch_core_session_run() (PortAudio/60(a)192.168.1.12) State EXECUTE 2007-06-19 18:08:25 [DEBUG] mod_portaudio.c:335 channel_on_execute() PortAudio/60(a)192.168.1.12 CHANNEL EXECUTE 2007-06-19 18:08:25 [DEBUG] switch_core_state_machine.c:114 switch_core_standard_on_execute() Standard EXECUTE 2007-06-19 18:08:25 [NOTICE] switch_core_state_machine.c:124 switch_core_standard_on_execute() Execute bridge(sofia/192.168.1.111/60(a)192.168.1.12) Debugger shows problem during: switch_ivr_multi_threaded_bridge() in switch_ivr_bridge.c, line 519: a_leg = switch_core_session_alloc(session, sizeof(*a_leg)); which results in: switch_core_session_get_channel(switch_core_session_t *session) { return session->channel; <---------------------------- here session is NULL !!!!!! Little compiling snapshot problems
by Sluschny, Thomas 18 Jun '07

18 Jun '07

Hi all, i downloaded the freeswitch snapshot from 16.06.07 and compiled it. I had 2 little problems to do so: 1. FreeswitchCoreLib couldn't build with "treat warning as error"-option on (so turn this compiler option OFF!), because of this 2 warnings: Warnung 2 warning C4018: '<' : signed/unsigned mismatch d:\download\sip\freeswitch\binversion20070615\freeswitch_snapshot\src\sw itch_ivr_async.c 145 Warnung 3 warning C4244: '=' : conversion from 'switch_size_t' to 'uint32_t', possible loss of data d:\download\sip\freeswitch\binversion20070615\freeswitch_snapshot\src\sw itch_ivr_async.c 152 2. problems during prebuild of libsofia_sip_ua_static: i had errors with gawk during autogen.cmd: multipart mismatch with Recursive multipart () ../libsofia-sip-ua/sip/sip_bad_mask: unknown header "" ../libsofia-sip-ua/sip/sip_bad_mask: unknown header "" ... To fix this i replaced gawk.exe with Mawk.exe (GnuWin32 <http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net>) (do we need a newer gawk?) Just for your information...

modified module loader api
by Michael Jerris 13 Jun '07

13 Jun '07

I have added some new macros to the core that slightly modifies the way you need to declare the load, shutdown, and runtime functions in your modules. If you have out of tree modules, please update them accordingly. You can see the changes to mod_iax and mod_sofia in svn revision 5337 for an example. The old way will continue to work for a short time, but will be removed before release, so please update your code as soon as possible. These macros are there to help handle any future api changes to these functions and so we can handle loading modules built against different api versions in a more graceful way. Thanks Mike
