Broken tar
by sdubey 16 Apr '07

16 Apr '07

Hello, I downloaded the tarball at: http://files.freeswitch.org/freeswitch-snapshot.tar.gz. When I untar it (after running gunzip), I see an error: 'tar: directory checksum error'. I got the same result when I downloaded it via Mozilla (on Solaris 8 for x86) and Firefox 2.0.x (on Win XP Home). Please advise on how to proceed. I'll appreciate your help. Problem building in VS
by Jason Steele 12 Apr '07

12 Apr '07

Hi all, I have downloaded FREESwitch using svn and loaded the .sln into VS 2005. The first thing I notice is that two errors immediately appear: Error 1 Unable to find source file 'D:\Documents and Settings\Jason\My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Projects\FreeSWITCH\AUTHORS' for file 'AUTHORS', located in '[TARGETDIR]', the file may be absent or locked. D:\Documents and Settings\Jason\My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Projects\FreeSWITCH\w32\Setup\Setup.vdproj FreeSwitchSetup Error 2 Unable to find source file 'D:\Documents and Settings\Jason\My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Projects\FreeSWITCH\COPYING' for file 'COPYING', located in '[TARGETDIR]', the file may be absent or locked. D:\Documents and Settings\Jason\My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Projects\FreeSWITCH\w32\Setup\Setup.vdproj FreeSwitchSetup I then right-click on the Solution and select Build. Unfortunately the first step of the build appears to fail leading to further failures because xmlrpc_config.h is not generated, In the build output I have: 1>------ Build started: Project: xmlrpc, Configuration: Debug Win32 ------ 1>Performing Pre-Build Event... 1>'and' is not recognized as an internal or external command, 1>operable program or batch file. 1>'and' is not recognized as an internal or external command, 1>operable program or batch file. 2>------ Build started: Project: libdingaling, Configuration: Debug Win32 ------ 1>'and' is not recognized as an internal or external command, 1>operable program or batch file. 1>Project : error PRJ0019: A tool returned an error code from "Performing Pre-Build Event..." 1>Build log was saved at "file://d:\Documents and Settings\Jason\My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Projects\FreeSWITCH\libs\win32\xmlrpc\Debug\xmlrpc\BuildLog.htm" 1>xmlrpc - 1 error(s), 0 warning(s) Any suggestions? Many thanks, Jason

a small (somewhat stupid) rfc3261 question.
by Anthony Lamantia 02 Apr '07

02 Apr '07

I have a small question that someone on this list may be able to assist me with, in rfc3261 the following is defined LWS = [*WSP CRLF] 1*WSP ; linear white space would *WSP only allow one or a variable length of white space characters. actully while in the process of writing this email i glanced at rfc2234 and i think this answers my question, but just to be sure the correct format of a LWS chunk would be (any or no amount of whitespace(0x20)\r\n (at least 1 byte of whitespace) ? -Anthony

Build problem with xmlrpc_config.h
by Jason Steele 31 Mar '07

31 Mar '07

Hi, I've just downloaded (yesterday) FreeSWITCH for the first time, loaded it into VS 2005 and right-clicked Build. I got the error "PRJ0019 A tool returned an error code from "performing pre-build event."" in file xmlrpc. Followed by lots of errors indicating that xmlrpc_config.h is missing. This is my first post. I'm really hoping to make use of FreeSWITCH for an IVR telephony application we have which is written (currently) in VB.NET. In your opinion is FreeSWITCH (and mod_mono) stable enough yet to accomplish this? Many thanks, Jason Steele

FreeSWITCH Core Dump
by Peter Nixon 30 Mar '07

30 Mar '07

Hi Guys I managed to track down the core dump I was seeing. It occurs whenever I use dingaling with mod_cdr loaded. If mod_cdr is not loaded it doesn't crash. I included a backtrace below (without symbols) and will followup with one with symbols included shortly.. Help with dial plan
by Daniel Corbe 28 Mar '07

28 Mar '07

http://rafb.net/p/2mEe4P69.html I was wondering if its possible to get FreeSWITCH to act in the following scenario: 1) Route a call to an IVR to play a message file... The IVR will 200 OK the call, play its prompt, then send a BYE 2) After this, the call should be tried through a list of carriers. If 1 carrier 200 OKs, stop processing. I've implemented a dial plan which I thought would behave in this way; however the second <extension> block is NEVER tried on the call. Please see the above link for details. Thanks. -Daniel
