Help on the way - Wiki migration sprint
by Ítalo Rossi 10 Nov '14

10 Nov '14

Guys, We're planning to do a mass migration tomorrow here at my company. So, I need write permission on these accounts: jonatas(a)evolux.net.br / jonatasoliveira lucas(a)evolux.net.br / lucasmcastro max(a)evolux.net.br / maximiliano gabriel(a)evolux.net.br / ggalvao luan(a)evolux.net.br / luan They are all familiar with FreeSWITCH. Before the sprint I'll show the guidelines and confluence basics. We'll focus on mod_dptools, but if you have a more important section to be migrated first, please let me know. I'm planning to do this sprint more times. Let's get this migration done! -- Ítalo Rossi

FreeSWITCH Wikipedia Entry
by Anthony Minessale 21 Oct '14

21 Oct '14

Hello, The FreeSWITCH Wikipedia page is quite sparse and out of date. The core developers are discouraged from editing our own article so we have to look to the community for impartial consideration. If anyone feels like doing some contribution to the project, updating that article that is basically from 2007 would be a great help so if anyone knows someone who has experience on wikipedia maybe you could get together and help make it more current. -- Anthony Minessale II ♬ @anthmfs ♬ @FreeSWITCH ♬ ☞ http://freeswitch.org/ ☞ http://cluecon.com/ ☞ http://twitter.com/FreeSWITCH ☞ irc.freenode.net #freeswitch ☞ *http://freeswitch.org/g+ <http://freeswitch.org/g+>* ClueCon Weekly Development Call ☎ sip:888@conference.freeswitch.org ☎ +19193869900

Checking Status
by Anthony Minessale 17 Oct '14

Hi, There seems to be little to no turnout at the weekly docs calls and not a lot of activity on this list. Do we need to find a better time or practices to accommodate everyone better? I would be really nice to get some idea on how things are going and what we need to do still. Let us know how we can improve things. We value all your help. -- Anthony Minessale II ♬ @anthmfs ♬ @FreeSWITCH ♬ ☞ http://freeswitch.org/ ☞ http://cluecon.com/ ☞ http://twitter.com/FreeSWITCH ☞ irc.freenode.net #freeswitch ☞ *http://freeswitch.org/g+ <http://freeswitch.org/g+>* ClueCon Weekly Development Call ☎ sip:888@conference.freeswitch.org ☎ +19193869900

[Announcement] FreeSWITCH 1.4.12 Released!!
by Ken Rice 10 Oct '14

10 Oct '14

Hi FreeSWITCHers! The FreeSWITCH Team would like to announce FreeSWITCH 1.4.12! This is a bug fix release and addresses a possible DoS. Thanks to Travis Cross for finding and patching this issue. commit b5294c53d694499fe0f4a807554154ca8c14dfa6 Author: Travis Cross <tc(a)traviscross.com> Date: Fri Oct 10 18:25:11 2014 +0000 Fix crash on transport=tls with non-TLS profile We use the transport of the Contact header of the remote UAC to decide which of our own Contact addresses we should use when replying to a SUBSCRIBE or sending a presence NOTIFY. If TLS is not enabled on a Sofia profile, then the TLS Contacts for that profile are NULL. Unfortunately we were using these NULL values uncritically when the remote UAC sent us a Contact header with a TLS transport and our own Sofia profile did not have TLS enabled. With this commit we fall back to our TCP Contact address when the remote Contact is TLS and our Sofia profile does not have TLS enabled. There are a few other minor bug fixes also to address a media resume after hold problem that is limited in scope and fixes to fs_encode for G722 file encoding. Source tarballs are available via http://files.freeswitch.org/ and packages are available via the FreeSWITCH Yum and Debian repositories. Have a Great Weekend!
