What should I do to document changes?
by Jim Lynch 23 Mar '15

23 Mar '15

I edited the mod cidlookup page and made a slight, one line change so the next guy to read it would have a better chance of understanding it than I first did. Should I document that change elsewhere? Thanks, Jim.

mod_perl documentation
by Stanislav Sinyagin 21 Mar '15

21 Mar '15

hi, I updated mod_perl in Confluence, and moved most of subpages into it: https://freeswitch.org/confluence/display/FREESWITCH/mod_perl I'm not sure about the Rosetta page. It looks to me that it can be easily dropped, as it's too little informative: https://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Mod_perl_Rosetta cheers, stan

Confluence editor status bdfoster
by Bote Man 18 Mar '15

18 Mar '15

Brian, you are now promoted to a member of the confluence-editors group. Feels pretty cool, eh? I created a template page for you under Lua examples https://freeswitch.org/confluence/display/FREESWITCH/Lua+DISA+Example to speed you along your way. Type a descriptive sentence or two under About and feel free to obliterate whatever I typed, then just go to town below the Table of Contents macro. Just stuff your new code inside the guts of that code macro as you iterate it. Right now I used Tools -> Restrictions to limit viewing to only the Confluence-editors group so nobody else can see it. You can unleash it on the world when you are confident it's ready for prime time or let one of us know and we can remove the restriction. Thanks, bud! Bote

catch-up for wiki pages moved before spreadsheet
by Bote Man 18 Mar '15

18 Mar '15

I found a couple pages that were moved to Confluence long before Areski introduced his spreadsheet to track them so I marked them as Moved. I checked Confluence administration a little bit yesterday, but did not find a reporting mechanism to show the creation time of pages in a table. It would be nice to see all pages created before about the middle of June, 2014 and note those pages as Moved in Areski's spreadsheet. Ken, if we need to add a free module to Confluence to do this, is this OK? Is this something you have to do on your end? If anybody finds a report generator in Confluence that can do this please let me know. Even a script that scans the creation time of each page and prepares a report would be great. I'll keep looking. Thanks. Bote FreeSWITCH Docs Janitor http://freeswitch.org/confluence

Doc-Sprint Friday 13 March 2015
by Areski 13 Mar '15

13 Mar '15

Hi Everyone, We are *now* running a small Sprint to work on FreeSWITCH Documentation. It will be 2-3 hours long. The Doc-sprint will focus on migrating the remaining pages from old FS Wiki (https://wiki.freeswitch.org) to Confluence ( https://freeswitch.org/confluence) We will use this IRC channel during the sprint: #freeswitch-docs and we will be tracking our work on a spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qsG-kRymvKlNBapnBLw86W130VdbnK6naYa… to avoid working on the same content. So during the sprint, please change the page "Status" you are working on to "Editing" with your name next to it. Some extra information: - https://freeswitch.org/confluence/display/FREESWITCH/Wiki+Migration - https://freeswitch.org/confluence/display/FREESWITCH/Contributing+Documenta… Let us know if you have any question. Please join in :)

edit old wiki w/superseded msg
by Nickolas Oliver 10 Mar '15

10 Mar '15

Part of the Guidlines ( https://freeswitch.org/confluence/display/FREESWITCH/Confluence+Wiki+Standa… ) is to add {{warning|content=Superseded by Confluence}} to the wiki pages. Is this still in effect? If so, where do we go to create an account? (The "create account" page has no form, only a message of the DB being locked)

Javascript vs java messed up
by Stanislav Sinyagin 06 Mar '15

hi, all links from https://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Category:Javascript end up in mod_java in Confluence. How is this redirection done? Some macro in mediawiki?

deleting (removing) confluence pages
by Nickolas Oliver 06 Mar '15

06 Mar '15

What is the protocol for removing pages from confluence? Just ask? Use case: apiExecute page was moved, but now scripting API pages are to be merged into one. I added a note to https://freeswitch.org/confluence/display/FREESWITCH/apiExecute but do not (and probably should not) have the privs to remove the page.

Re: [Freeswitch-docs] [Freeswitch-users] invalidating entries in http_cache?
by Bote Man 25 Feb '15

I have added the API example on Confluence. When Chris replies with an example of the file parameter I will add that as well. Bote From: freeswitch-users-bounces(a)lists.freeswitch.org [mailto:freeswitch-users-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org] On Behalf Of Christopher Rienzo Sent: Wednesday, 25 February, 2015 10:40 To: FreeSWITCH Users Help Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-users] invalidating entries in http_cache? FYI: FS-7323 was just committed to master that provides new ways to invalidate cached files. new API: http_cache_remove <url> new file param: {refresh=true} Also- if you want your cached files to be refreshed sooner, set the expiration server side with max-age or change the default config if max-age is not set. I don't believe there is a checksum mechanism, but that would do the trick. Is there a way to force-download a URL? Neither http_pre_fetch nor http_get does this. I don't see any way in the docs, so am considering managing this independently and manually removing files from the http_cache folder when we overwrite a source file. > > Thanks, > Neil > _________________________________________________________________________ > Professional FreeSWITCH Consulting Services: > consulting(a)freeswitch.org > http://www.freeswitchsolutions.com > > Official FreeSWITCH Sites > http://www.freeswitch.org > http://confluence.freeswitch.org > http://www.cluecon.com > > FreeSWITCH-users mailing list > FreeSWITCH-users(a)lists.freeswitch.org > http://lists.freeswitch.org/mailman/listinfo/freeswitch-users > UNSUBSCRIBE:http://lists.freeswitch.org/mailman/options/freeswitch-users > http://www.freeswitch.org
