[Freeswitch-docs] Channel variables page
by Stanislav Sinyagin 29 Jan '18

29 Jan '18

hi, the channel variables page is getting extremely long and difficult to view and to edit. Maybe it makes sense to split it by modules? Whenever I need to check some variable, I search it in google and then click on the old wiki page :-)

Hi, We've been asked by packt to produce a 3rd book called "Mastering FreeSWITCH" Would anyone be interested in working on the authoring of that book and get their name in print? We need help with creating the content as well as formatting the text into the word templates they require etc. Please contact consulting(a)freeswitch.org if you are interested. -- Anthony Minessale II ♬ @anthmfs ♬ @FreeSWITCH ♬ ☞ http://freeswitch.org/ ☞ http://cluecon.com/ ☞ http://twitter.com/FreeSWITCH ☞ irc.freenode.net #freeswitch ☞ *http://freeswitch.org/g+ <http://freeswitch.org/g+>* ClueCon Weekly Development Call ☎ sip:888@conference.freeswitch.org ☎ +19193869900

Re: [Freeswitch-docs] Fwd: suggest some SIP hard phones (Support freeswitch).

Heh heh. I did most of what is now the Debian 7 installation page and originally had it as freeswitch.git as that is what I ended up with here on my fresh installation, but somebody else changed it by removing the “.git” suffix on the directory name so I assume that is correct? I don’t know. Also, most importantly, before you go to a lot of trouble writing an installation page, the 1.6 branch has a great deal of information about certificates and related notes that forms a substantial part of installation process. Ultimately there needs to be a Debian 8 installation page because that is the new reference platform used by the core developer team, I just don’t know how much the installation instructions are changing just yet. Here’s the current installation page: https://freeswitch.org/confluence/display/FREESWITCH/FreeSWITCH+1.6+Video BTW, I just looked up your account to add it to Confluence-editors and it turns out you have at least 3 usernames: sdevoy SeanD seandevoy All pointing to the same e-mail address, so can we 86 those first two since the last one is the only account that has been used? I’ve added “seandevoy” to the editors group, but please coordinate a new installation page with the bunch that has been documenting the 1.6 with all the fancy video conferencing stuff in it. [Freeswitch-docs] knowledge-base wiki?
by Stanislav Sinyagin 20 Jun '15

20 Jun '15

Looking at the recent conference in the users list (regarding the hardware phones), I thought, why not letting people to enter this information in a sort of a wiki, or knowledge base. This can be a section within Confluence - important is that anyone can contribute directly.

Let me CC this back to the docs list, maybe we need to update our verto docs to reflect this. If they have questions I'm sure Ítalo and Bote will ask. [Freeswitch-docs] mod_dptools strmicroepoch
by Kristin King 16 Jun '15

I needed to be able to view the microsecond epoch, but was only able to find documentation for the regular "second" epoch, strepoch: https://freeswitch.org/confluence/display/FREESWITCH/mod_dptools%3A+strepoch Once I tested the strmicroepoch tool, I created the page for it under mod_dptools, with brief description and usage syntax here: https://freeswitch.org/confluence/display/FREESWITCH/mod_dptools%3A+strmicr… Please let me know if the explanation is sufficient or if there are any updates that need to be made to the page. proto_specific_hangup_cause was prefixed with last_bridge_, so: <action application="set" data="continue_on_fail=true"/> <action application="set" data="hangup_after_bridge=true"/> <action application="bridge" data="sofia/internal/sip:blah@blahblah.net:5060 "/> <action application="set" data="last_bridge_proto_specific_hangup_cause=sip:503"/> <action application="hangup"/> Also, it'll work only if you remove sip_ignore_remote_cause=true. [Freeswitch-docs] FS version 1.4.19 announcement
by Bote Man 07 Jun '15

07 Jun '15

Is this true? "The current production release of FreeSWITCHT is version 1.4 created from tag 1.4.19 on 28 May, 2015 This is the recommended version to install for production systems." Or have I jumped the gun in phrasing it that way on Confluence? In other words, is this the recommended version for production systems considering you're soliciting testing and bug reports on it? Thanks. Bote
