[Freeswitch-docs] Channel variables page
by Stanislav Sinyagin 29 Jan '18

29 Jan '18

hi, the channel variables page is getting extremely long and difficult to view and to edit. Maybe it makes sense to split it by modules? Whenever I need to check some variable, I search it in google and then click on the old wiki page :-)

[Freeswitch-docs] better documentation
by Mundkowsky, Robert 28 Dec '15

28 Dec '15

Hi, It is very difficult to use Freeswitch, because the documentation is very difficult to use. If the documentation was better you would have a lot more users. For example, in https://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Sofia_Configuration_Files , I can read the whole page and I still do not understand fundamental things like: 1) What is a domain? 2) What is a profile? 3) What is a gateway? 4) How is a gateway different than a normal SIP end point? Simple definitions of key ideas and a structured top down descript would help a lot. And there is a lot of useless statements that one has to read through that does not help. For example, "The best thing to do is take a look at these things from a step back." Also it is common to explain what something is not, rather than explaining what it is first. [Freeswitch-docs] TLS1.2 in OS X

Forwarded for reference. Bote From: freeswitch-users-bounces(a)lists.freeswitch.org [mailto:freeswitch-users-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org] On Behalf Of Mario Sent: Wednesday, 30 September, 2015 12:56 To: FreeSWITCH Users Help Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-users] unable to clone master " git clone https://freeswitch.org/stash/scm/fs/freeswitch.git" Just to add to this topic…. Today I was going to do one last FreeSwitch build and test on OS X 10.6 and 10.7 to update the wiki before retiring those wiki pages. I could not git clone and I could not even access freeswitch.org. After research and seeing this thread I found TLS 1.2 is missing from not only 10.6 and 10.7 but also 10.8. After some research I found there is no way to add TLS 1.2 to 10.8 so I will be retiring that as well. So this makes my wiki updates a little easier! [Freeswitch-docs] Anchors
by Christian Benke 29 Sep '15

29 Sep '15

Hi! I've added an anchor for "NDLB-force-rport" in https://freeswitch.org/confluence/display/FREESWITCH/Sofia+Configuration+Fi… based on the information I get from https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/anchors-139442.html, but obviously the anchor does not work as intended. Does anyone know if I'm doing it wrong? Best regards, Christian

Re: [Freeswitch-docs] Playing with conditions
by Bote Man 03 Sep '15

03 Sep '15

By default Atlassian limited the TOC depth to h3 to prevent the TOC from becoming cluttered, but this can be set in the TOC macro per instance (if dropping the TOC macro on the page) or in the one that is part of the new page template that I created (but this will not affect existing pages created from my template). Thanks.
