[Freeswitch-docs] Support Button obscures editing controls
by M Yudkowsky 08 Jun '18

Comrades! That "nifty" new "? Support" button on the wiki obscures the "Edit," "Preview," and what I expect is a cancel button -- but I can't see it. I'm not a big fan of Zendesk, but this is beyond the call of something-or-other. Can we modify this button so that it does not appear in any of the edit modes? [Freeswitch-docs] Confluence for deprecated pages?
by M Yudkowsky 24 May '18

I notice that if I click on a link for a deprecated page, e.g., something that does not exist at present or that points to the old Wiki, I end up at freeswitch.com. Example: <https://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Natted_Softphone_ATA>. I would expect the default error landing page to be either the top of Confluence, a Confluence error page with a searchbox (best IMO), or maybe freeswitch.org. But not FS.com. Not that I have anything against FS.com, but I find it jarring. -- Moshe Yudkowsky Disaggregate Corporation 2952 W Fargo Chicago, IL 60645 USA +1 773 764 8727 speech(a)pobox.com http://www.Disaggregate.com http://www.PebbleAndAvalanche.com

[Freeswitch-docs] Embed YouTube Videos
by M Yudkowsky 24 May '18

Comrades! Yesterday I gave a webinar on fail2ban, and I thought it might be interesting to embed it into the end of the fail2ban page - if it worked, it'd be a nice way to utilize some of the other webinars. The link to the webinar is <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-k6qHfzlp4>. I can't paste the embed code in (in source mode, of course). That code is: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/K-k6qHfzlp4?rel=0" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe> The "allowfullscreen" is not permitted according to some internal DTD. I removed it, but this still fails: when I save this from source code mode -- I think I'm saving it, but the "? Support" button might be obscuring me pushing the wrong button -- the saved code does not include the iframe. Of course this might be deliberate censorship of "spammy" code, but is that something we can control? -- Moshe Yudkowsky Disaggregate Corporation 2952 W Fargo Chicago, IL 60645 USA +1 773 764 8727 speech(a)pobox.com http://www.Disaggregate.com http://www.PebbleAndAvalanche.com https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-k6qHfzlp4

Alas! After a force refresh, and blowing out my entire cache, it still shows up. The popup takes a few moments but after that obscures the editing buttons. > On May 24, 2018, at 12:38 , Michael Jerris <mike(a)jerris.com> wrote: > > are you sure its still doing this? [Freeswitch-docs] Old internal links
by Walter Smith 10 May '18

Hi all — I've noticed that there seem to be a ton of links in the Confluence wiki that point to the old wiki. This is really annoying, since you click on a supposedly helpful link and are immediately presented with modal alerts telling you you're in the wrong place! Has there been previous thought put into some kind of automated cleanup? Even though some content has moved, no doubt just translating the links very mechanically would get a high percentage of them to work. — Walter
