Blink: [ERR] crypto in RTP/AVP
by Oleg Khovayko 08 Nov '13

08 Nov '13

Hi, I cannot make call to FreeSWITCH using Blink client (http://icanblink.com/) When I try to originate call, I see message: [ERR] switch_core_media.c:2720 a=crypto in RTP/AVP, refer to rfc3711 I already set for this user: <params> <param name="NDLB-allow-crypto-in-avp" value="true"/> <param name="auto-rtp-bugs" value="clear"/> </params> But both additions did not help. Restart freeswitch dies not help, too. Blink's SDP - with crypto requests - following. Please, suggest, how to fix this issue. Hey Guys, Ever tried explaining a setup where a diagram would be much easier on your tickets? Now you can... Open your ticket on Jira as normal. Once its opened, pull your ticket up click the ³More Actions² button on your ticket, then click the ³Add Drawio Diagram² link. Draw your diagram and save it to the ticket! -- Ken http://www.FreeSWITCH.org http://www.ClueCon.com http://www.OSTAG.org G+ ClueCon : http://fs0.us/cluecon-gplus FB ClueCon : http://fs0.us/cluecon-fb G+ FreeSwitch : http://fs0.us/freeswitch-gplus FB FreeSWITCH : http://fs0.us/freeswitch-fb Twitter : @FreeSWITCH_WIRE irc.freenode.net #freeswitch

RPS vulnerability, Yealink responds.
by Ken Rice 01 Nov '13

01 Nov '13

Hey Guys, As you know theres been a big buzz about Remote Provisioning Services and vulnerabilities that are possible. We have been in touch with Yealink, and they have released the following statement. ----- Snip ------- Recently we received reports stating there were security vulnerabilities in Yealink phones¹ RPS feature. We have investigated in these reports and found out that this problem was already solved in our V71 version of firmware. Correction and Precaution Solutions for RPS Security Vulnerability Issues Yealink V71 version firmware could completely guard the Yealink IP Phones from the security risks. How to operate: 1) To upgrade the Yealink IP Phones to V71 firmware; 2) To encrypt the configuration files with Yealink cfg encryption tool. The Yealink cfg encryption tool could be downloaded per below link, http://www.yealink.com/Upload/T2X/T2X-V71/Yealink%20Configuration%20Encrypti on%20Tool.zip Yealink take our customers¹ security very seriously and are constantly working to improve the security features of our products. Yealink therefore also highly recommend our customers regularly update firmware to the latest version to benefit from our new features and facilities. ----- Snip ------ So if you are using Yealink and RPS encrypt those configs and upgrade to atleast the V71 firmware. -- Ken http://www.FreeSWITCH.org http://www.ClueCon.com http://www.OSTAG.org G+ ClueCon : http://fs0.us/cluecon-gplus FB ClueCon : http://fs0.us/cluecon-fb G+ FreeSwitch : http://fs0.us/freeswitch-gplus FB FreeSWITCH : http://fs0.us/freeswitch-fb Twitter : @FreeSWITCH_WIRE irc.freenode.net #freeswitch

Improve mod_local_stream playlist
by Constantine 29 Oct '13

29 Oct '13

Now, as I see, playlist loc file can only contains absolute paths. I suggest one of this ways path can be relative (e.g. relative to ${sounds_dir}) playlist can be requested using mod_curl local_stream conf could contain playlist tag -- With Best Regards, Constantine

How to use "say" command for a conference
by Prevail Magid 28 Oct '13

28 Oct '13

Hi All, I try to play in conference some message by using freeswitch console api. I tried enter next commands : "*conference my_conf_name say my_custom_text*", "*conference my_conf_name say 'en ip_address pronounced 12.34.56.78*" and get response *(say) Error!* *say <text>* I use freeswitch version 1.2.1. Modules <load module="mod_flite"/> <load module="mod_say_en"/> Note: When I use 'say <text>' in dialplan all work fine.
