[Freeswitch-dev] mod_fifo
by Thierry Panthier 17 Jun '13

17 Jun '13

Hello everyone, When a call leaves mod_fifo (and it gets bridged) if I do a *fifo list <myqueue>*, I get: <bridges> <bridge fifo_name="emergency" bridge_start="2013-06-12 07:45:03" bridge_start_epoch="1371023103"> <caller uuid="a16767af-e252-43b5-ad33-cbd38a42bc64" caller_id_name=* "Outbound%20Call"* caller_id_number=*"XML"*></caller> <consumer> <uuid>4b84ab5e-f2a2-4d87-8295-7726663abeed</uuid> <outgoing_uuid>0b9fa586387efe4014e010bada4da9cc</outgoing_uuid> </consumer> </bridge> </bridges> However I need to get the *caller_id_name* and the *caller_id_number* of the entity that initiated the call and not "*Outbound Call*" or *"XML"*. I read in a thread that I should set *origination_callee_id_name* and * origination_callee_num* but how do I do that? I tried to set a variable in my dialplan and use it in *fifo.conf.xml *but I get the following error: *[CRIT] switch_channel.c:1364 Invalid data (${origination_callee_id_name} contains a variable)* Here's my *original* fifo.conf.xml: <fifos> <fifo name="emergency" importance="0"> <member timeout="60" simo="1" lag="0">{member_wait=nowait}loopback/dequeue_emergency/default/XML</member> </fifo> </fifos> Here's part of my *original* dialplan: * * <extension name="queue_emergency"> <action application="set" data="fifo_music=$${hold_ringing}"/> <action application="set" data="fifo_orbit_exten=timeout_emergency:$${emergency_queue_timeout}"/> <action application="answer"/> <action application="fifo" data="emergency in"/> </extension> Here's my *modified* fifo.conf.xml: <fifos> <fifo name="emergency" importance="0"> <member timeout="60" simo="1" lag="0">{member_wait=nowait,origination_callee_id_name=${some_var_set in_the_dialplan}}loopback/dequeue_emergency/default/XML</member> </fifo> </fifos> If I set to a fixed value instead of a variable, it works fine. But that's useless to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Thierry Panthier

[Freeswitch-dev] New Wiki Page: "Reloading" (re-transmission)
by Michael Collins 16 Jun '13

16 Jun '13

FYI, Per Steven's mention on the other thread about not knowing when to reloadxml vs. restart freeswitch vs. <whatever command> I promised to add a new wiki page. Here it is: http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Reloading I've seeded the page with some explanatory text and a few items in the table. Please add to it with what you've come across in your usage of FreeSWITCH. [Freeswitch-dev] Setting channel flags late
by Richard Brady 12 Jun '13

12 Jun '13

Hi guys A variable (e.g. liberal_dtmf) which has an underlying channel flag (e.g. CF_LIBERAL_DTMF) or some other internal representation or associated state can only be set at the beginning of the channel's lifetime, i.e. at the start of the call. What is the best place to add custom code to allow this to happen for a particular variable while the call is in progress? 1. With a variable-specific command (e.g. "uuid_liberal_dtmf <uuid> true") 2. By modifying uuid_setvar to carry out some custom logic 3. With the addition of a new generic command, e.g. uuid_setvar_deep, which could serve as a single point for folks to add their custom code, and to return an error for any variable which is not explicitly supported. Any thoughts? Regards, Richard -- Richard Brady M: +44 (0)7771 623 348 T: +44 (0)20 8144 8160 E: rnbrady(a)gmail.com

[Freeswitch-dev] FreeSWITCH Weekly News and Notes
by Michael Collins 10 Jun '13

10 Jun '13

Happy 2nd week of June to everyone. We want to remind everyone that on June 19th we will be releasing the ClueCon 2013 <http://www.cluecon.com> schedule on the FreeSWITCH community conference call <http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/FS_weekly_2013_06_19>, so please be there. As an added bonus the whole FreeSWITCH dev team will be on hand and hanging out with the community. On occasion we like to acknowledge community members who've stepped up and made a difference in a way that benefits the FreeSWITCH project as a whole as well as those who use it. Our friend Call Leeming has been doing a great job of doing triage on the FreeSWITCH bug tracker<http://jira.freeswitch.org>. In fact, just today he reported<http://lists.freeswitch.org/pipermail/freeswitch-users/2013-June/096500.html>on checking five Jira tickets. We appreciate these efforts and we encourage everyone to take a few moments to peruse the open tickets and look for items where they can assist, even if it's merely testing the validity of a bug report. Thank you to everyone who helps out. After having open community discussions these past few weeks we will have a formal presentation this week<http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/FS_weekly_2013_06_12>by yours truly. In response to numerous requests we have decided to do a demonstration of the CudaTel <http://www.cudatel.com> Communication Server. I will be giving a tour of the CudaTel user interface and we will be glad to answer questions. I think you will be impressed with the hard work that the core FreeSWITCH team has put into building the CudaTel. We look forward to talking to you on Wednesday. -- Michael S Collins Twitter: @mercutioviz http://www.FreeSWITCH.org http://www.ClueCon.com http://www.OSTAG.org

[Freeswitch-dev] Core-UUID - is it possible to make it persistent?
by Seven Du 10 Jun '13

10 Jun '13

As per http://www.mail-archive.com/freeswitch-dev@lists.freeswitch.org/msg02600.ht… The Core-UUID changes every time FS restart, is there a particular reason why it should change every time? anyway to configure it to not change? Or possible to add a Persistent-Core-UUID so it never changes when managing multiple FS instance at the same place? Thanks. -- Seven Du http://www.freeswitch.org.cn http://about.me/dujinfang http://www.dujinfang.com
