Conference recording pause/resume problem
by Mariusz Czulada 13 Jul '12

13 Jul '12

Hi, I try to prepare a patch which allows to pause/resume a given recording. I'm in the middle of the road: pause is working, by resume - not :(. I'd like to ask for your help in finding a problem. I'm not sure if I handle member and file flags in the thread sub correctly. BTW. I lost some time playing with member-fnode until found fh in conference_record_thread_run is a proper handler. What is the conference_file_node_t member->fnode used for, if not for handling a recording file? Regards, Mariusz

questions about making a new endpoint
by Seven Du 29 Jun '12

29 Jun '12

Hi, I'm working on a mod_rtsp endpoint the idea is to stream sip video to a rtsp client such as VLC and also a sip client could "call" a rtsp camera later. I copied some codes from mod_sofia and it is too long to understand for me so I'd like to get some inputs either highlight me how to do or point out where to read from mod_sofia. 1) VLC "calls" in as a-leg and bridge to a sip client with video(or play_fsv), I made it sort of working now, but - How to disable the read_frame and read_video frame io_routine ? I set them to NULL and it fails on read, so I made a fake read function there, kind of ugly. - I hard coded to H264 and I can see video on VLC, I'd like to do like sip later negotiation then when b-leg sip client offers SDP and offer to a-leg when DESCRIBE - looks like switch_io complains when no audio codec, is it possible to do video only calls? or is it possible to set audio and video rtp to a different path ? 2) Call a rtsp camera would be easy later 3) Maybe a client can call in and record? I don't have such a client. I would like to share the code later if others interested on this. Thanks, Seven. -- About: http://about.me/dujinfang Blog: http://www.dujinfang.com Proj: http://www.freeswitch.org.cn Sent with Sparrow (http://www.sparrowmailapp.com)

how to prevent DTMF tones/info from being recorded
by victor.velo＠videotron.ca 31 May '12

31 May '12

Hello, I'm using ESL (outbound) to control a Freeswitch server. I need to be able to record only the "sound" from the microphone, excluding any DTMF related info and sound... The actual command used for recording is "record". Thanks a lot for your help, Victor

Any reason for not using one instance? One instance with 4 separate sofia profiles should give the same result. /Peter -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- Från: freeswitch-dev-bounces(a)lists.freeswitch.org [mailto:freeswitch-dev-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org] För Abdul Hakeem Skickat: den 31 maj 2012 14:04 Till: freeswitch-dev(a)lists.freeswitch.org Ämne: [Freeswitch-dev] CPU (multi-cores) Optimization Hello, Are there any CPU optimization API's for Freeswitch ? Re: [Freeswitch-dev] FreeSWITCH / TAPI driver (using ESL)
by Peter Olsson 30 May '12

Nothing that I know of, and I would be surprised if it exists. I think it would be quite a big project to get this up and running. /Peter -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- Från: freeswitch-dev-bounces(a)lists.freeswitch.org [mailto:freeswitch-dev-bounces@lists.freeswitch.org] För François Delawarde Skickat: den 23 maj 2012 10:36 Till: freeswitch-biz(a)lists.freeswitch.org; freeswitch-dev(a)lists.freeswitch.org Ämne: [Freeswitch-dev] FreeSWITCH / TAPI driver (using ESL) Hello, Anyone knows of an open-source or commercial multi-line TAPI driver that can connect FreeSWITCH? SIP TAPI is an option, but doesn't provide full control over lines (for example it cannot be used to hangup an existing call). So I'm looking for something that uses ESL and can translate Events and send origination commands to FS. I have a tiny budget (a few hundreds of euros) to pay for licenses / dev work. Thanks, François. _________________________________________________________________________ Professional FreeSWITCH Consulting Services: consulting(a)freeswitch.org http://www.freeswitchsolutions.com FreeSWITCH-powered IP PBX: The CudaTel Communication Server http://www.cudatel.com Official FreeSWITCH Sites http://www.freeswitch.org http://wiki.freeswitch.org http://www.cluecon.com Join Us At ClueCon - Aug 7-9, 2012 FreeSWITCH-dev mailing list FreeSWITCH-dev(a)lists.freeswitch.org http://lists.freeswitch.org/mailman/listinfo/freeswitch-dev UNSUBSCRIBE:http://lists.freeswitch.org/mailman/options/freeswitch-dev http://www.freeswitch.org !DSPAM:4fbc9eb132765079384229!

FreeSWITCH Weekly News and Notes
by Michael Collins 29 May '12

29 May '12

Happy Tuesday to all. We hope you enjoyed your holiday weekend. We've had a steady stream of presentations on the FreeSWITCH conference call over the past month. Ken Rice has graciously done two presentations on how to create a dialplan module in C, including a fully functional example module. This code is extremely helpful not just in understanding how to write a dialplan module but in writing any module that exposes new dialplan applications or command line APIs. This week we will take a break from the formal presentations and have an open discussion on any topics of interest to the community. Our ClueCon plans are gearing up as well. We are pleased to announce that Plivo, Inc. is a brand new silver sponsor for this year's event. Plivo<http://www.plivo.org?cc12-0529>is an open-source framework for developing Web-based solutions with FreeSWITCH. We are also happy to report that the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) is again with us a media sponsor. IIT holds the annual Real-Time Communications conference and expo <http://www.rtc-conference.com?cc12-0529>where academia and industry meet to discuss various aspects of global telecommunications. We invite you to visit our sponsors' Web sites to learn more about what they have to offer. As a reminder, ClueCon still has openings for sponsors and speakers. Please contact us via email or at the phone number below if you have any questions. Visit the registration<http://www.cluecon.com/register?cc12-0529>page to get signed up and be sure to book your room at the Wyndham <http://www.cluecon.com/hotels?cc12-0529>. (And don't forget that the Wyndham will shortly be renamed to the Hyatt Chicago Miracle Mile.) We look forward to meeting everyone in person this August! -- Michael S Collins ClueCon Team http://www.cluecon.com 877-7-4ACLUE cc12-0529
