mod_java startup/shutdown hooks
by String Larson 30 Jun '09

30 Jun '09

I did some work on mod_java to allow for a user defined method to be called on startup and shutdown. The methods are defined in java.conf.xml: <startup class="some/path/foo/Control" method="startup" arg="start up arg"/> <shutdown class="some/path/foo/Control" method="shutdown" arg="shutdown arg"/> I'd like to make this avail. to the FS codebase. Thoughts ? -str

mod_managed not working from dialplan but working from console
by rentmycoder rentmycoder 30 Jun '09

30 Jun '09

I use Freeswitch 1.0.4pre3 on CentOS 5.3 with Mono2.4 compiled from source. I've compiled the Freeswitch.Managed.dll on linux using mono's compiler... When I try to execute the built in test function from the console, it works: freeswitch@internal> managed ApiDemo 12 ApiDemo executed with args '12' and event type API. When I add it to an internal extension like this, <extension name="3000"> <condition field="destination_number" expression="^(3000)"> <action application="answer"/> <action application="managed" data="ApiDemo 12"/> </condition> </extension> and dial 3000 from a softphone: 2009-06-30 12:42:46 [ERR] switch_cpp.cpp:1119 console_log() Could not find function ApiDemo. 2009-06-30 12:42:46 [ERR] mod_managed.cpp:405 managed_app_function() Application run failed for ApiDemo 12 (unknown module or exception). I'v tried to load the assembly using loadmanaged also, it works from the console (managedload FREESWITCH.), but does not work from the dialplan Please help!

Question regarding Misc. Dialplan Tools eavesdrop
by Ian Quek 29 Jun '09

29 Jun '09

Hi, I have a question regarding the eavesdrop extension that FreeSwitch has. I'm currently looking at http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Misc._Dialplan_Tools_eavesdrop. From what I gather reading the page, you enable eavesdrop/call barge by making the changes specified in "examples" to the default.xml file. However, I'm interested in knowing more about how this particular module works, and how I can use its capabilities. Is there any further documentation for this feature, and where can I find such documentation? For example, in the example provided, if I dial 881001, am I actually making the call to 1001, or am I simply listening to any call 1001 is making? Does this extension allow me to say, dial 881001, and have the phone that I'm using connect to 1001, and record the call I'm making to 1001 in the FreeSwitch server? thanks -Ian

Re: [Freeswitch-dev] Manually downloading libraries
by Ian Quek 29 Jun '09

29 Jun '09

I managed to successfully compile and run FreeSwitch on my non-internet enabled box. I did this in Red Hat Linux 5 as well as Windows Vista. For Red Hat, I only needed the following additional libraries: unixODBC-2.2.11-7.1.i386.rpm unixODBC-devel-2.2.11-7.1.i386.rpm For Windows Vista, I built FreeSwitch on an internet enabled machine, then copied the libs/ directory to the non-internet enabled machine. These were the additional packages that were needed: communicator_semi_6000_20080321.tar.gz flite-1.3.99.tar.gz howl-1.0.0.tar.gz lame-3.97.tar.gz libogg-1.1.3.tar.gz libshout-2.2.2.tar.gz mpg123.tar.gz pocketsphinx-0.5.99.tar.gz pthreads-w32-2-7-0-release.tar.gz sphinxbase-0.4.99.tar.gz tiff-3.8.2.tar.gz These files were extracted into the libs/ directory prior to compiling on the non-internet enabled machine. -Ian Date: Wed, 24 Jun 2009 22:34:41 -0700 From: William King <quentusrex(a)gmail.com> Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-dev] Manually downloading libraries To: freeswitch-dev(a)lists.freeswitch.org Message-ID: <4A430C71.4030203(a)gmail.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Which libraries, and files need to get downloaded? and where are they downloaded too? I too need a script like this to build the ubuntu packages. I would be willing to help write, and test the script if I can get a list of which files need to be downloaded. -William Ian Quek wrote: > Thanks for your help. I do have a further question though. Re: [Freeswitch-dev] PRI to PRI call in openzap
by Alex Green 29 Jun '09

29 Jun '09

Thank you very much Michael, that would have been tricky to figure out.. I originally tried libpri but was not able to get it to work. I have tried again and sorted it out. For anybody searching the list in future here is how I got it working. 1. For openzap.conf: use [span zt], not [span libpri]. 2. When calling zap_configure_span() use something like this: zap_configure_span("libpri", span_PRI_1, on_signal, "node", "network", "switch", "dms100", "dp", "unknown", "l1", "ulaw", "debug", NULL, "opts", 0, TAG_END) See mod_openzap.c -> load_config(void) and ozmod_libpri.c -> zap_libpri_configure_span() for inspiration on the values. 3. Finally, the node type argument for network signalling MUST be "network", not "net". I am guessing that this also applies to the openzap.conf.xml file. If so, the wiki needs to be updated: http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Openzap.conf.xml_Examples#Using_with_PRI_.2… Thanks again, -alex Michael Collins wrote: > Alex, > > The stock OpenZAP PRI handler doesn't do net, it only does terminal. > You'll need to use the ozmod_libpri method if you want to have FS be a > PRI/Net: > http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/OpenZAP#Adding_libpri_Support > > -MC > > On Fri, Jun 26, 2009 at 12:02 AM, Alex Green <alexg(a)etherstack.com > <mailto:alexg@etherstack.com>> wrote: > > Summary: After having a play with analogue openzap, I have moved to a > TE210p and am having some trouble getting a test PRI to PRI call > working. > > For the analogue card I had written an app where you give it a number > via the command line, it will calls you and by pressing digits you can > either record or playback PCM.
