BSD Maintainers needed...
by Brian West 01 Mar '14

01 Mar '14

FreeSWITCHers, Is anyone willing and able to maintain any of the BSD platforms? Currently you can not compile on Net/Open/FreeBSD with ease... OpenBSD and NetBSD are already well on their way to the unsupported due to no activity in the community to assist in maintaining these platforms. If you wish to assist in maintaining any or all of these platforms please let me know. Thoughts? Feedback? Feb. 12th we’ll be talking about this during our weekly call. Thanks, -- Brian West brian(a)freeswitch.org Twitter: @FreeSWITCH , @briankwest http://www.freeswitchbook.com http://www.freeswitchcookbook.com T: +1.918.420.9001 | F: +1.918.420.9002 | M: +1.918.424.WEST iNUM: +883 5100 1420 9001 ISN: 410*543 Skype:briankwest PGP Key: http://www.bkw.org/key.txt (AB93356707C76CED)

by sparklezou 28 Feb '14

28 Feb '14

Hi All, There are several limitation for skype account, such as the time length. Would like to implement such features with database, such as SQLite, 1. Input tatal available time for the account, during the period, one month or one season. 2. recoder the start time, end time for each call via this account. Then caculate the left available time of this account. 3. Get the available account to bridge the call, caculated from db. Is there implemented script or source code? Is there any suggestion? Thanks! 2014-02-28 sparklezou

JIRA Issues that have been closed as No Response
by Brian West 24 Feb '14

24 Feb '14

FreeSWITCHers, If I’ve closed out a JIRA that hasn’t been responded to in quite sometime and it was yours and the issue still exists here is what you need to do: 1. Re-test, 2. If the problem still exists on MASTER please provide more details and data. 3. Reopen the issue, 4. Attach information. If you have other questions or concerns about my manic steam roll thru JIRA please hunt me down on IRC (bkw_) ;) Thanks, -- Brian West brian(a)freeswitch.org FreeSWITCH Solutions, LLC PO BOX 2531 Brookfield, WI 53008-2531 Twitter: @FreeSWITCH , @briankwest http://www.freeswitchbook.com http://www.freeswitchcookbook.com T: +1.918.420.9001 | F: +1.918.420.9002 | M: +1.918.424.WEST iNUM: +883 5100 1420 9001 ISN: 410*543 Skype:briankwest PGP Key: http://www.bkw.org/key.txt (AB93356707C76CED)

RTP session timer
by Thiya Ramalingam 23 Feb '14

23 Feb '14

All - we are trying to debug an issue with a point to point call between two linphones going through FS (version 1.5.2). Occasionally, one of the parties in the call hears a brief drop in the audio - we traced the issue to rtp flushing in FS. we don't want to disable flushing as it causes latency issues. We looked at the wireshark traces to make sure that the flushing is not caused by talk spurt (marker bit being set by linphone which will cause the FS to flush). That's not the case as well. One other possibility is the RTP session timer expiry. can someone point us to where the timer expiry is handled in the code ? we see where the timer is started but would like to know what happens when this timer expires ? 2014-02-21 14:14:02.930515 [DEBUG] switch_rtp.c:2016 Starting timer [soft] 960 bytes per 20ms 2014-02-21 14:14:02.930515 [DEBUG] switch_rtp.c:2106 RTP started . Thanks in advance, Thiyag.

FreeBSD/OpenBSD
by Brian West 22 Feb '14

22 Feb '14

FreeSWITCHers, Mike Jerris spent a little time to get FreeBSD 10 and OpenBSD 5.4 working in the build system, I have NetBSD somewhat working… Mike will be looking at that sometime soon. Anyone wishing to Adopt an OS, please let me know, This requires you to build the OS fairly regularly and feedback bugs and/or patches back to help keep these platforms building. I would also be open to building a complete OS/Distro supported/status matrix, If anyone wishes to discuss this please let me know, Travis Cross and I have been talking about the possibility of doing more bug hunt calls weekly and do so in varying hours to give everyone around the globe a better chance to attend. I want to stress you do not have to be a coder to attend these bug hunt meetings, you can interact and help update documentation on the wiki while we work on fixing issues we aren’t shy and will answer any and all questions to help make our docs more complete. Thoughts? Thanks, -- Brian West brian(a)freeswitch.org FreeSWITCH Solutions, LLC PO BOX 2531 Brookfield, WI 53008-2531 Twitter: @FreeSWITCH , @briankwest http://www.freeswitchbook.com http://www.freeswitchcookbook.com T: +1.918.420.9001 | F: +1.918.420.9002 | M: +1.918.424.WEST iNUM: +883 5100 1420 9001 ISN: 410*543 Skype:briankwest PGP Key: http://www.bkw.org/key.txt (AB93356707C76CED)
