Channel variables page
by Stanislav Sinyagin 29 Jan '18

29 Jan '18

hi, the channel variables page is getting extremely long and difficult to view and to edit. Maybe it makes sense to split it by modules? Whenever I need to check some variable, I search it in google and then click on the old wiki page :-)

FreeSWITCH Docs maxi-sprint
by Bote Man 23 Dec '16

23 Dec '16

Many thanks to Ítalo and his team for the massive sprint they surprised me with today. They started with 456 pages pending action and moved 246 of them to Confluence, which leaves a mere 210 pages pending on the old wiki. THANK YOU ALL! Re: [Freeswitch-docs] Christmas mini-sprint

Also, it is good to check if the page has already moved to Confluence. We moved a lot of pages before Areski developed the spreadsheet to track wiki pages, so check first to save some work and duplication. Thanks! --- Bote FreeSWITCH Docs Janitor http://freeswitch.org/confluence From: Bote Man [mailto:bote_radio@botecomm.com] Sent: Friday, 23 December, 2016 07:58 To: FreeSWITCH Docs Team (freeswitch-docs(a)lists.freeswitch.org) Subject: Christmas mini-sprint Wow! I see a LOT of editors from Evolux doing a mini-sprint this morning, so THANK YOU! It is OK only to copy the pages from the old wiki to Confluence without editing much on the new page. Then we can disable the old wiki more rapidly. After all the old pages are copied and marked in the spreadsheet, then we can go back to editing the Confluence pages with formatting, code boxes, and so forth. Thank you all! Re: [Freeswitch-docs] JIRA (DOCS-54) Sofia tcp-pingpong and tcp-ping2pong aren't documented

I have added Chris to the Confluence-editors group, so that part is done. Like Chris, I would have no idea what to type since I don’t know what the pingpong settings do L Chris, if you also wish to help copying pages over from the old wiki to Confluence shoot me an e-mail with an address that can be added to give permission to edit the Google spreadsheet on which we track pages moved. It prefers gmail addresses naturally, but I think it works with other domains as well. A new year, a new sprint
by Bote Man 15 Dec '16

15 Dec '16

I will resume work on the huge FreeSWITCH Documentation project now that I have attended to some personal matters. My apologies for leaving things hanging in the breeze. I hope to hold more sprints after the New Year turns so please offer your suggestions of the best days and times for you to help. We are grateful for however much you can contribute. I think we should have a short sprint every 2 weeks or even every week only to copy over the remaining pages from the old wiki to the new Confluence documentation platform. We can keep each sprint short so it does not take a lot of time from your work day or personal time while still getting pages moved over. That is the most important task right now. Then after all the pages are moved from the old wiki to Confluence we can have mini-sprints to fix the internal links on each page to point to Confluence where they currently point to the old wiki. I think a smart programmer can develop a simple script to scan all Confluence pages to build a list of all those wiki links so that they can be found and changed quickly. Then Ken Rice will be very happy to kill the old wiki machine forever J If you have recently joined the FS Docs team, please contact me or an existing Docs team member to give you access to the Wiki Page Tracker spreadsheet on Google Docs. That is where you tell the team which pages you have moved so that we do not duplicate effort. I just learned that any of the existing spreadsheet editors can add new editors, not just the owner J I think it works best if you use a Gmail address for that, but there are others on the team who use their business domains so it is possible. Happy Holidays to those who celebrate! --- Bote FreeSWITCH Docs Janitor http://freeswitch.org/confluence

Sofia tcp-pingpong and tcp-ping2pong aren't documented
by Chris McMacken 15 Dec '16

The Sofia settings of tcp-pingpong and tcp-ping2pong aren't documented other than to indicate that they exist. It would be helpful to know what they do, if anything. I would be happy to update the documentation if someone wants to indicate explain their function -- Chris McMacken TechOps Engineer 10 S 5th Street Ste 650 Minneapolis, MN 55402 cmcmacken(a)gravie.com | www.gravie.com

Don't we have something similar to this already in confluence? ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Rajil Saraswat <rajil.s(a)gmail.com> Date: Sat, Dec 3, 2016 at 6:10 PM Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-users] Letsencrypt and TLS To: freeswitch-users(a)lists.freeswitch.org I was able to use the Letsencrypt certificate (domain is pbx.blah.com) using the following: cat /etc/letsencrypt/live/pbx.blah.com/fullchain.pem /etc/letsencrypt/live/ pbx.blah.com/privkey.pem > /etc/freeswitch/conf/ssl/agent.pem The root CA was DST as shown by: openssl x509 -in /etc/letsencrypt/live/pbx.blah.com/chain.pem -noout -issuer Thus the DST_Root_CA_X3.pem was obtained from: https://www.identrust.com/certificates/trustid/root-download-x3.html The cafile was generated using: cat /etc/letsencrypt/live/pbx.blah.com/chain.pem DST_Root_CA_X3.pem > /etc/freeswitch/conf/ssl/cafile.pem Finally checked # openssl verify -CAfile cafile.pem agent.pem agent.pem: OK Hope this is helpful to somebody.
