Does Freeswitch support caller picture?
by Charles Bujold 09 Jun '15

09 Jun '15

Just purchased a Snom 870 and M9r telephone set which amongst other options supports the display of the caller image if the PBX supports it. They refer to the following two header requirements to show the picture: The SIP INVITE should contain the following SIP Header: Call-Info: <http://192.168.1.2:8080/images/extensions1.bmp>;purpose=icon or Call-Info: icon="http://192.168.10.14:80/snom/photo/DirectoryEntry1.png" My question is does Freeswitch support such features and if so How can I implement this? Do I create a folder with the images, but how do I match them with the caller ID? Thanks CJB

uuid_record
by Martyn Davies 09 Jun '15

09 Jun '15

After a problem reported by a customer, I've been experimenting with uuid_record from fs_cli to find out where leading silences might be coming from. A couple of files I just recorded had >30s of silence at the start of the wav file that I wasn't expecting. The experiment goes like this: 1. I say "one" on the call 2. uuid_record <uuid> start xx.wav 3. I say "two" on the call 4. short pause 5. I say "three" on the call 6. uuid_record <uuid> stop xx.wav 7. I say "four" on the call The resulting xx.wav file contains 33s of silence, "two", pause, "three" end of file. It is silence at the start rather than ambient noise. The call itself has been up for several minutes now, so I'm not sure where the 30 sec comes from? The FreeSWITCH version is 1.4.12-1 Regards, Martyn

Using verto between two FS boxes
by Free Switcher 08 Jun '15

08 Jun '15

Hello, I'm trying to route calls between two FS boxes separated by a firewall that only allows http/websocket connection. Is it possible to use verto to connect two FreeSwitch boxes? I tried using the approaches listed on the mod_verto wiki page but the bridge application fails to originate calls tithe other box with reason "USER_NOT_REGISTETED". SIP over websocket would also work for me but I couldn't figure out how to configure that as an origination option in the bridge application. Thanks, Andy

Some way to debug mailer-app external program?
by Alejandro 07 Jun '15

07 Jun '15

Hi Guys, I had setup external mail-app is just a Python script like the presented into the documentation. But I see that this is not executed. This be the logs http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=fkQmD48S My setting has: 1000.xml <param name="vm-email-all-messages" value="true"/> <param name="vm-attach-file" value="true" /> <param name="vm-mailto" value="mail(a)gmail.com"/> and /etc/freeswitch/autoload_configs/switch.conf.xml <param name="mailer-app" value="/tmp/test.py" /> <param name="mailer-app-args" value="" /> test.py just save a log with the date of the execution, to debug the mailer-app exec, but the logs is empty. please any advice will be welcome! Thanks Alejandro
