Just purchased a Snom 870 and M9r telephone set which amongst other options supports the display of the caller image if the PBX supports it. They refer to the following two header requirements to show the picture: The SIP INVITE should contain the following SIP Header: Call-Info: <http://192.168.1.2:8080/images/extensions1.bmp>;purpose=icon or Call-Info: icon="http://192.168.10.14:80/snom/photo/DirectoryEntry1.png" My question is does Freeswitch support such features and if so How can I implement this? Do I create a folder with the images, but how do I match them with the caller ID? Thanks CJB
Not supported but not impossible. It would require a patch, file a feature request on JIRA. On Tue, Jun 9, 2015 at 1:22 PM, Charles Bujold <cjbujold@accra.ca> wrote:

Can't this be done with custom programmatic logic? Just pull a URL based on CLID and append a Call-Info header, I would think. Why does it require any specific FS support? -- Alex Balashov | Principal | Evariste Systems LLC 303 Perimeter Center North, Suite 300 Atlanta, GA 30346 United States Tel: +1-800-250-5920 (toll-free) / +1-678-954-0671 (direct) Web: http://www.evaristesys.com/, http://www.csrpswitch.com/ Sent from my BlackBerry. put a Kamailio server between FreeSWITCH and clients, and let it add these headers. You can name the pictures after SIP accounts, then making the URL is a simple concatenation. On Tue, Jun 9, 2015 at 8:22 PM, Charles Bujold <cjbujold@accra.ca> wrote:

The only FS support would be a channel_variable telling FS to add the header when applicable. The proxy way sounds plausible too. On Tue, Jun 9, 2015 at 4:06 PM, Stanislav Sinyagin <ssinyagin@gmail.com> wrote:

I'm plenty enthusiastic about Kamailio, but is FS lacking in some way in its clearly understood ability to append headers? -- Alex Balashov | Principal | Evariste Systems LLC 303 Perimeter Center North, Suite 300 Atlanta, GA 30346 United States Tel: +1-800-250-5920 (toll-free) / +1-678-954-0671 (direct) Web: http://www.evaristesys.com/, http://www.csrpswitch.com/

No, it's lacking a specific channel variable to properly format the header for this feature when given just a url. This is just a matter of integrating the feature in a clean way.
