Using verto between two FS boxes
Hello, I'm trying to route calls between two FS boxes separated by a firewall that only allows http/websocket connection. Is it possible to use verto to connect two FreeSwitch boxes? I tried using the approaches listed on the mod_verto wiki page but the bridge application fails to originate calls tithe other box with reason "USER_NOT_REGISTETED". SIP over websocket would also work for me but I couldn't figure out how to configure that as an origination option in the bridge application. Thanks, Andy
it should work at least enough to setup signaling, maybe not media. You'll need to troubleshoot a bit to figure out if it's really registered and you are just not using the right dialstring On Sunday, June 7, 2015, Free Switcher <switcherfree@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi Michael, The called party is not registered on the first FS box - they are registered on the second FS. I'm trying to forward all calls matching a certain pattern from box1 to box2. I would like this leg to use verto (or sip over websocket). In my box 1 dial plan, I have an extension matching the pattern and I invoke the bridge application to route the call to box2. I have tried the following: <action application="bridge" data="${verto_contact $1@X.X.X.X}"/> as well as this: <action application="bridge" data="verto.rtc/$1@X.X.X.X"/> In either case, when the call hits this action I see the error message "originate failed due to USER_NOT_REGISTERED" and the call is then terminated. I appreciate any suggestions to make this work with veto. Alternatively, I would like to try originating this leg as sip over websocket but don't know how. Thanks, Andy. You need to keep in mind that media WebRTC based things like Verto is just RTP that means the websocket is just signalling and any media (audio or video) would be in rtp ports Sent from my iPhone
