HA capabilities
by Danny Gershman 30 Oct '14

30 Oct '14

I’m delving into the world of FS HA and I realize this means a lot of different things to different people. I guess there might even be some undocumented flux even as with any open source project it moves faster than the docs. A couple (2) of questions: 1) I’ve installed ODBC and have following the HA documentation but when I make a call I’m not seeing any rows being populated in the sip_dialogs table. I do know that my connection works because I see data in sip_registrations table. Is there some other module that I need enabled? I have “track-calls” enabled in my sip profile. 2) Does “track-calls” work for conferences? --Danny

HI, I want to know what is the best way to reload a gateway with changes that were made. Say maybe the IP changed or gateway was added or deleted. using (var a = new Api(null)) { a.ExecuteString("sofia profile internal killgw _ALL_"); a.ExecuteString("sofia profile external killgw _ALL_"); a.ExecuteString("sofia profile internal rescan reloadxml"); a.ExecuteString("sofia profile external rescan reloadxml"); }

FS public server call FS test server behind NAT
by Sean Devoy 30 Oct '14

30 Oct '14

Hi All, I am setting up a test machine to learn more on. That means I will be posting here more!! Currently I have: FS 1.2 (Centos) PRODUCTION <= public IP (through router) => (WAN) <= home router => NAT Cisco Phones working <= home router => NAT OLD AASTRA 480i Phones NOT working <= home router => FS 1.4 DEBIAN TEST working LAN only OLD AASTRA 480i Phones working LAN Only Cisco Phones working to both FYI: The home router is from Verizon FIOS. My phone work the same with SIP ALG on or off. Is it possible to have the production FS punch through the NAT and call the test server? Does TEST need to register with Production? If so, where do I find the setup info. YES, I have googled this but have not found what I need. I would really like a push in the right direction. Thanks, Sean

Can anyone please help me with the below: Hi, Freeswitch is sending re-invites in each 60 seconds. And it comes with SDP which causes our WebRTC client on Mozilla browser to stop sending media. accessing channel variables of outbound call leg
by akhil garg 30 Oct '14

In dialplan, how can I access the channel variables of an outbound call leg? e.g. <extension name="Local_Extension"> <condition field="destination_number" expression="^(10[0-9][0-9])$"> <action application="set" data="hangup_after_bridge=true"/> <action application="set" data="continue_on_fail=false"/> <action application="log" data="INFO: read_codec=${read_codec}"/> <action application="bridge" data="user/$1@${domain}"/> </condition> </extension> In the example above, read_codec of call leg A will be logged Now I want to print the read_codec/write_codec of outbound call leg in this dialplan. How can I achieve it? -- regards, akhil

voicemail mailer-app
by Alex Lake 29 Oct '14

29 Oct '14

The "mailer-app" preference for voicemail can be set in switch.conf.xml But if I want to override it for one particular extension, where's the best place to do it? I tried in the directory file, but that didn't seem to have any effect.
