Presence
by Joel White 02 Oct '14

I am having an issue that was not present last week. The presence subscriptions are hanging. That may not be the proper terminology, but the phones show the other people presence. They also stay on (showing busy) for a while and I can verify that the phone being watched is not off hook. Does anyone know how to remedy this situation?

Mod_nibblebill doesn't terminate call
by Aqs Younas 02 Oct '14

02 Oct '14

Hi, I am new to freeswitch, i am using mod_nibblebill for billing of realtime calls.It works perfectly, detects correct balance after the completion of call and performs update query on database.What difficulty I am facing now is that mod_nibblebill does not terminate call even when user balance is below zero(0) or is zero(0), which I have specified in my xml file. Here is my nibblebill.conf.xml file. <configuration name="nibblebill.conf" description="Nibble Billing"> <settings> <param name="odbc-dsn" value="odbc://freeswitch"/> <param name="db_table" value="users"/> <param name="db_column_cash" value="balance"/> <param name="db_column_account" value="accountcode"/> <param name="lowbal_amt" value="5"/> <param name="lowbal_action" value="play ding"/> <param name="nobal_amt" value="0"/> <param name="nobal_action" value="hangup"/> <param name="percall_max_amt" value="0"/> <param name="percall_action" value="hangup"/> </settings> </configuration> Here is my default.xml include> <context name="default"> <extension name="unloop"> <condition field="destination_number" expression="^(1[2-9][0-9]{2}[0-9]{7})$"> <variable name="nibble_rate" value="0.03"/> <variable name="nibble_account" value="45893148"/> <action application="bridge" data="sofia/external/1$(a)168.183.648"/> </condition> </extension> </context> </include> Could Someone please tell me why mod_nibblebill is not terminating call but accounts call perfectly. (if a user balance is below or at zero(0) mob_nibblebill let them call and after call sets balance to negative value) Thanks In Advance.

DTMF: sip_profile's dtmf-type parameter
by akhil garg 01 Oct '14

01 Oct '14

Hi, setting dtmf-type to "none" or "info" in sip_profile makes no difference. In both the cases following prints come on the console while establishing a call. "No 2833 in SDP. Disable 2833 dtmf and switch to INFO" It would be helpfull if anyone explain what should be the difference in values "none" and "info" -- regards, akhil

by Lloyd Aloysius 01 Oct '14

01 Oct '14

Hello I recently purchased a Grandstream Phone for test with FreeSWITCH. Registration works fine. But I have couple of issues with this phone and switch. 1. Calls made from this phone never hangup properly (either internal or external) 2. Audio breaks every one or two minute. Sometime silent. Any suggestions? Thank you Lloyd

custom webserver that uses mod_xml_curl.
by montecillodavid 01 Oct '14

01 Oct '14

I want to integrate my own ways in dealing with mod_xml_curl, what I tried so far is that i can reach the webserver using RestExpress as the Webserver, but the problem lies also with RestExpress generating default xml processor, in which in turn the sip doesnt recognize the response, and my real question is that , why would the sip server request 4 times? i read in the book that there are probable cause that to make this happen. like for example trying to hunt , or etc, can anybody elaborate these please? im quite stuck why it requested 4 times. And is my own way a good way or bad way? thanks, David -- View this message in context: http://freeswitch-users.2379917.n2.nabble.com/custom-webserver-that-uses-mo… Sent from the freeswitch-users mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

FreeSWITCH forgets to send RE-INVITES - Help with Logfile Configuration
by Markus von Arx 01 Oct '14

01 Oct '14

Hi I have the following problem: our FreeSWITCH instance sometimes "forgets" to send a SIP RE-INVITE (we use session timers to periodically send RE-INVITEs on all our SIP channels) which then results in the remote party dropping the SIP channel by sending a SIP BYE to the FreeSWITCH. By sometimes I mean that this happens maybe once for several thousands of RE-INVITEs. I scanned the FreeSWITCH log files but could not find any reason why the FreeSWITCH did not send these RE-INVITEs. But maybe my FreeSWITCH logfile configuration is not "good enough" to show the relevant traces/logs. Does anybody have an idea how to configure the FreeSWITCH logger that would create more helpful logs that would help me find the cause for the missing RE-INVITES? Or any idea why FreeSWITCH forgets the RE-INVITES? We're using FreeSWITCH 1.4.9 on Windows. Our default global loglevel ("loglevel" in switch.conf.xml) is set to "debug". My logfile.conf.xml: <configuration name="logfile.conf" description="File Logging"> <settings> <param name="rotate-on-hup" value="true"/> </settings> <profiles> <profile name="default"> <settings> <param name="logfile" value="C:\Logs\FreeSwitch\freeswitch.log"/> <param name="rollover" value="20971520"/> <param name="maximum-rotate" value="100"/> <param name="uuid" value="false" /> </settings> <mappings> <map name="all" value="all"/> </mappings> </profile> </profiles> </configuration> Thanks, Markus

Bash ShellShock vulnerability
by Chris Young 01 Oct '14

01 Oct '14

Hi all, This should be a nice easy one - could somebody please confirm for me that FreeSWITCH 1.4.x is not affected by the Bash ShellShock vulnerability. I'm sure this is the case but we have some partners who are concerned about it and would like some reassurance. Many thanks, Chris

gateways ping retry
by Pierre-Emmanuel Dutang 01 Oct '14

01 Oct '14

Hello, I'm trying to do failover with my gateways, so I'm using parameters like ping, ping-max and ping-min but I want to reduce the time when the gateways are checked. I tried retry-seconds at 10 but the check is always around 30 seconds anyway :/ Thanks for your help
