Javascript and Events
by Fraser Redmond 24 Mar '10

I'm trying to get me head round events in Javascript. Looking at this page: http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Javascript_Event ...I'd thought I should be able to take the first example and run it in a call, so that it's listening for all(?) events. Then take the second example and fire an event. But nothing is happening. I had a good read through this thread from a year ago: http://lists.freeswitch.org/pipermail/freeswitch-users/2009-January/038246.… ...but it seemed to say the resolution was in the event-listener. In the listener code I changed this: if (type == "event") { console_log("notice", "Event: " + event_obj.serialize() + "\n"); } ...to this: console_log("notice", "something: " + type + "\n"); And nothing comes up at all (unless I press a key for "dtmf") Does the javascript event listener only listen for events on it's own session/channel somehow? I'd thought about adding something like this to the event-firer: e.addHeader("Unique-ID", "8e187c47-da72-471e-82af-adab0bae9347"); Cheers, Fraser

donating german prompts
by Christian Löschenkohl 24 Mar '10

24 Mar '10

hello we are going to produce a full set of german audio prompts and donate them to this wonderful project. i have attached a prompt list with the phrases we are going to record. the source of this prompt list is the file docs/phrase/phrase_de.xml. i have also compared it with the english file under docs/phrase/phrase_en.xml an merged this two + translated what was needed/had not been present in the german langunge file from english to german. i would be happy if someone could give me feedback on this and at best review the phrase list in terms of correctness and completeness. br -- Ing. When leg on hold hangs up, another leg is hanged up too
by Maciej Aniserowicz 24 Mar '10

24 Mar '10

Hello, it's me again, I noticed then these steps: 1) dial 2 calls bgapi originate {ignore_early_media=true}sofia/gateway/agent_gateway/2500 &park() bgapi originate {ignore_early_media=true}sofia/gateway/g2/2501 &park() 2) bridge them bgapi uuid_transfer f0c0db16-f00f-4b0b-8a00-d3b108d121b2 intercept:a85fd47e-051f-42ea-987e-f4e090c7ae78,park inline 3) put the 2nd call on hold: uuid_hold a85fd47e-051f-42ea-987e-f4e090c7ae78 4) hangup the 2nd call uuid_kill a85fd47e-051f-42ea-987e-f4e090c7ae78 cause the 1st call to be hanged up as well. I want it to be parked in this situation. When I set the [park_after_bridge=true] var in dialstring, it works just like I want it to. Is setting this variable the proper way of accomplishing it - keeping channel alive when the other leg put on hold hangs up? Unable to Bridge to FIFO offhook agent
by Woody Dickson 24 Mar '10

24 Mar '10

Hello, Freeswitch's ACD is cool! I am having a strange problem here. If I use a dialplan extension to bring a caller to a FIFO ( that already have the agent added using "fifo_member add" command), then, the agent's phone will ring and call is successfully bridged when the agent picks up the phone. The problem I have is that if the caller is bought to the FIFO after pressing a specific key in an IVR, then, when the agent picks up the phone, both caller and agent are being hung up by freeswitch. In the console, it says that it is failed to bridge the caller to the agent. Why is that the case and how can I resolve that? Best Regards, Woody

by rentmycoder rentmycoder 24 Mar '10

24 Mar '10

Hi guys, Freeswitch Rocks! Does anybody know how to export variables from the b-leg to a-leg... I start a bridge from lua on an outgoing gateway and on the answer of the b-leg I would like to set a variable on the a-leg... <action application="export" data="nolocal:execute_on_answer=lua cc.lua extensions_answer ${uuid}"/> <bridge ....> from cc.lua I try: session:execute("export", "foo=123"); but no success... any hint?

Compile issue with openzap
by Joseph L. Casale 23 Mar '10

23 Mar '10

I just fetched freeswitch-1.0.5-latest.tar.bz2 right now and enabled openzap in modules.conf and compiled fs, but the openzap bits never made it in? I have done it before on this system (centos 5.3 x64) w/o issue, any known issues atm? Thanks! jlc
