by Michael Collins 25 Mar '10

25 Mar '10

Hello all FreeSWITCHers! We invite everyone around the world to join us in #freeswitch on irc.freenode.net. We want everyone to be online today, even if you just leave your IRC client running in the background. Also, if you don't have an IRC client handy then go to http://www.freeswitch.org/ and use the web login located on the right-hand side bar (below the features list). You'll need a Java-enable browser. Everyone have a great day! -Michael

Confusion - Please Help
by Ken Fulmer 25 Mar '10

25 Mar '10

We need the internal sipX box to register phones and send / receive PSTN calls through the FS SBC. I don't understand how we need to setup SIP Profiles in FS. We basically need one gateway to an ITSP and one gateway to our sipX PBX. Is this done in different places? Thanks, Ken Fulmer

B2BUA behavior.
by M. Ranganathan 25 Mar '10

25 Mar '10

Hello, I am learning about FreeSWITCH. If I allocate a B2BUA in freeSWITCH and send it a REFER, will the REFER be passed through transparently or converted to an INVITE? If it is the latter behavior, is it possible to configure FreeSWITCH to pass the REFER through? Thanks -- M. Ranganathan

Move config between 16272M and 17084M does not work
by Fabio Pietrosanti (naif) 25 Mar '10

25 Mar '10

Hi, yesterday i spent half a day trying to figure out what was happening in trying to move a configuration (that lookup dynamically via mod_xml_curl directory and dialplan) from FreeSWITCH version 16272M to 17084M . I've done a clean install and just moved only the few lines required by hand. Didn't worked: - On registration dynamic lookup works fine and users can login with password stored on remote server - On dial dynamic lookup of dialplan does not work and die with: 2010-03-25 08:33:47.777741 [ERR] mod_dialplan_xml.c:440 Open of dialplan failed I also tried to get the whoole /usr/local/freeswitch/conf of version "FreeSWITCH Version 1.0.5-20100109-0400 (16272M)" and put it as a replacement on top of the "FreeSWITCH Version 1.0.5-20100321-0400 (17084M)" but the problem remain exactly the same: - Registration works via dynamic lookup via mod_xml_curl - Dialing does not work and dynamic lookup via mod_xml_curl does not work In both case the configuration regarding mod_xml_curl is the following that works on 16272M but does not work on 17084M and is written in autoload_configs/xml_curl.conf.xml <binding name="directory"> <param name="gateway-url" value="http://xxx/directory" bindings="directory"/> <param name="auth-scheme" value="digest"/> </binding> <binding name="dialplan"> <param name="gateway-url" value="http://xxx/dialplan" bindings="dialplan"/> </binding> In both case i see in the log the correct initialization of xml_curl: 2010-03-25 08:29:50.193915 [NOTICE] mod_xml_curl.c:684 Binding [directory] XML Fetch Function [http://xxx/directory] [directory] 2010-03-25 08:29:50.193953 [NOTICE] mod_xml_curl.c:684 Binding [dialplan] XML Fetch Function [http://xxx/dialplan] [dialplan] 2010-03-25 08:29:50.196983 [CONSOLE] switch_loadable_module.c:900 Successfully Loaded [mod_xml_curl] 2010-03-25 08:29:50.197019 [NOTICE] switch_loadable_module.c:272 Adding API Function 'xml_curl' The same configuration works on 16272M but is broken on 17084M . There's some modification that was done to dialplan and/or to mod_xml_curl that could cause this issue? Is there some specific debugging i can do to understand if it's a bug (like it seems) or some configuration parameters changed regarding the dialplan lookup via mod_xml_curl ? Waiting for yours Fabio Pietrosanti

by Madovsky 25 Mar '10

Hi, maybe it's my mistake: 2 FS running with a shared DB, same sip profile. if leg A registered on FS 1 call leg B registered on FS 2 and hangs up, leg B stays onlline even after rtp time out. also every registration take a row for every node in sip_registration table, is it ok ? Thanks

Success with a TDM410P finally
by Joseph L. Casale 24 Mar '10

24 Mar '10

Finally got this working but have a couple simple things to work out. The gain seems rather excessive, I assumed zt.conf's rx|txgain was where this needed to be adjusted, but values did not have an effect there. I have disabled the echo canceller in zt.conf as per the recent thread and the results with the mg2 canceller are not very good, is it also required to be disabled when using any echo canceller in dahdi? Thanks, jlc
