Question about eavesdrop application
by Mimiko 09 Sep '14

09 Sep '14

Hello. I wanted to enable eavesdrop to spy on local extensions. In the sample dialplan from freeswitch I used: <extension name="global" continue="true"> <condition> <action application="hash" data="insert/${domain_name}-spymap/${caller_id_number}/${uuid}"/> <action application="hash" data="insert/${domain_name}-last_dial/${caller_id_number}/${destination_number}"/> <action application="hash" data="insert/${domain_name}-last_dial/global/${uuid}"/> <action application="export" data="RFC2822_DATE=${strftime(%a, %d %b %Y %T %z)}"/> </condition> </extension> <extension name="eavesdrop"> <condition field="destination_number" expression="^88(.*)$|^\*0(.*)$"> <action application="answer"/> <action application="eavesdrop" data="${hash(select/${domain_name}-spymap/$1$2)}"/> </condition> </extension> This works when extension calls other extension or outbound to some number. But not working when someone calls the extension, because hash select/spymap/extension gives an obsolete uuid. How to overcove this problem? Also how to spy on extensions which answered a member in a callcenter? Thank you. -- Mimiko desu.

Version of Lua with FS1.4
by Alex Lake 09 Sep '14

09 Sep '14

I installed FS1.4 on an Ubuntu14.04 box the other day and found that it seemed to be using Lua5.2. After hunting around for a bit, I managed to find Lua 5.2 versions of the modules we use. I then wiped the machine and attempted another build, and it used Lua 5.1! I'm confused as to what I've done differently. Is there a preferred Lua version for 1.4?

Where can I find the documentation for mod_xml_curl biding=directory api
by Yosi Taguri 08 Sep '14

08 Sep '14

I want to implement the directory binding using a web service like documented in : https://confluence.freeswitch.org/display/FREESWITCH/mod_xml_curl I'm missing the api documentation that is expected to be implemented by the webservice. On the web I found some old samples but none of them contained the details for the api. Did anyone implement this on their system and can share the api documentation they found? Thanks,

Perl ESL originate issue
by David Villasmil 08 Sep '14

08 Sep '14

Hello Guys, from perl i'm connecting to FS using FS' ESL library and issuing an originate command which fails when i try to use ${distributor()} It seems FS' ESL Library or perl itself is changing "$" for "%", i get an error: 2014-09-07 20:25:57.484946 [ERR] mod_sofia.c:4249 Invalid Gateway '%{distributor(mylist)}' The command is actually: my $uuid = $con->bgapi("originate", "sofia/gateway/\${distributor(mylist)}/$destination &callcenter(myqueue)"); So i'm scaping $ Has anyone experienced this? Thanks for you help! David

FreeSwitch Esl doesn't connect
by ifink＠machshevet.com 08 Sep '14

08 Sep '14

In order to connect to FreeSwitch, we have made a .Net service with Esl whose connect to FreeSwitch and to send and receive events to can handle them in code. It all works fine on our computer, we do connect to a remote server where FreeSwitch is installed. the connection succeeded very fine, and we get all the events. The problem occurs on the remote server, if we try to install the service on the remote computer where the FreeSwitch is installed, it does not success, when we check the Connect Property is always returns 0. The same thing with the same credentials does work on my computer but not on the server. Have someone any idea? is there a way to debug the Esl to see under the hood why it does not succeed? Upgrading 1.2 to 1.4

Following another thread here, I thought I would have a go at 1.4 on Ubuntu 14.04 (64 bit). I now have it installed, but before I install my own application, I thought I'd look around to find a list of changes to look out for - particularly in the config files (my application includes some freeswitch config files, based on those that came with 1.2). Couldn't quickly find an appropriate resource - anyone got any suggestions?
