[ANN] openerp-freeswitch-connector new tagged release 20140904

Hello Everyone, I realize some of you may have had problems making this work before due to some of the ways I parsed the records returned by FreeSWITCH. This should be completely fixed now. This release fixes several bugs, updates documentation (the .md files are not really markdown yet, so you should view them, especially the top level one, as simply text files, particularly the section about setting a user's caller ID... this is partially fixed in a subsequent push). Additionally, this module has been rebased onto the latest version of where it was forked from. This merges all "Open calling ..." to an "A" next to preferences (the tool tip for the A in English is "Open Caller"). It also changes the "Dial" to click from a button to a link. Additionally, the base freeswitch_click2dial module now also depends on the python-phonenumbers library. This simplifies configuration and improves accuracy/functionality. This works for me in a from scratch install of OpenERP. If anything doesn't work for you, or if there is some confusion in the documentation, please let me know. I do not know if this works with Odoo 8.0. I do know it works with OpenERP 7 as found in Fedora 20. https://github.com/treveradams/openerp-freeswitch-connector Anyone who would be willing to take pictures of the various aspects of configuring this and using it as found in the documentation and willing to make them available under some friendly license, I will add some wiki (github) and/or FreeSWITCH confluence entries based on the images and documentation. If not, I will do it myself when I have time. Thank you, Trever

Can't register more than one user to freeswitch
by Snabel Kabiya 04 Sep '14

Hi, looking at freeswitch.xml.fsxml log i saw that the domain is loaded twice from default.xml file and from my users.xml file. i changed the default.xml file to default.xml_ and now i can register all users. now i need to figure out a better way for users to register to freeswitch ... Thanks for your help guys :) Snabel, > ---------- Forwarded message ---------- > From: Iskren Hadzhinedev <iskren.hadzhinedev(a)ikiji.com> > To: FreeSWITCH Users Help <freeswitch-users(a)lists.freeswitch.org> > Cc: > Date: Thu, 04 Sep 2014 10:48:05 +0300 > Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-users] Can't register more than one user to > freeswitch > > Hi Snabel, > > Can you try replacing the domain name with $${local_ip_v4} and verify that > the file with your users is located in freeswitch/conf/directory ? > > If it’s in a subdirectory (e.g. freeswitch/conf/directory/default) it > won’t load correctly. Incoming packet queue at RTP socket
by Yehavi Bourvine 04 Sep '14

04 Sep '14

Hello, I've noticed recenty that there is an input queue of 1832 bytes on some of the active RTP ports. In our case all th phones (about 400) are on the same profile and RTP is passed via FreeSwitch. Is this normal? Thanks, __Yehavi:

PostgreSQL :(
by Chris Bardos 04 Sep '14

04 Sep '14

Hi All, I’m trying to make Freeswitch store everything in Postgres instead of using SQLite. I’ve put the dsn string in the xml sheets following these instructions: https://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/FreeSWITCH_databases#DSN_with_username_and… https://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/PostgreSQL_in_the_core However, it is still using the SQLite databases. I’m sure there is something easy that I’m overlooking, but I can’t figure it out. Could someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance! Chris Bardos

The SIPTLS/SRTP B2BUA saga continues
by Tim Smith 03 Sep '14

03 Sep '14

Siptrace at http://pastebin.freeswitch.org/pastebin.php?dl=23211 To protect the innocent, the following IP mappings have been applied : 10.1.2.3 = SIP Phone (no TLS/SRTP support) 172.16.1.2 = VoIP Provider (TLS/SRTP) 192.168.1.11 = Freeswitch B2BUA The VoIP provider has had sight of this siptrace and flatly denies its a problem on their side and says its a problem on my side. There are millions of Freeswitch XML configuration files and I'd really appreciate a pointer in the right direction !

MEDIA_TIMEOUT vs. NORMAL_TEMPORARY_FAILURE
by Oleg Stolyar 03 Sep '14

03 Sep '14

Hi guys, I use WebRTC to connect to FreeSWITCH. Sometimes I get a MEDIA_TIMEOUT in the logs which disconnects the leg. My rtp-timeout-sec is 300 and MEDIA_TIMEOUT seems to happen after 5 minutes, so it's all good. I thought that this would happen when the user closes the browser or their computer crashes or their network goes away. However, I tested these scenarios and in all of them FreeSWITCH disconnects after about 30 seconds with the message NORMAL_TEMPORARY_FAILURE. It's probably detecting that the websocket is no longer active. Again, all good. My question is what scenario would result in the MEDIA_TIMEOUT rather than NORMAL_TEMPORARY_FAILURE? For example, would it happen if the user went on mute for 5 min? Is there something else?
