SNMP Question...
by Brian Fertig 21 Apr '14

21 Apr '14

Greetings... So I have an interesting SNMP xAgent question.. I have 2 FS servers setup in a cluster. I am monitoring both with SNMP and they both show the exact same amount of calls on each server. Is this normal behavior? Is the failover server reading the database where the calls are stored in the recovery table? Brian

cisco registering with IP not domain
by naftula 21 Apr '14

21 Apr '14

i have a cisco 7965G with firmware version 9.3 but the phone cannot register, a wireshark revealed that the phone is sending the registrations as 102(a)xxx.xxx.xxx.x instead of 102(a)abc.abc.com even though in my XML config i have the domain name as proxy, can anyone lead me in the right direction? is this a phone issue or a XML config issue? Thanks....... -- View this message in context: http://freeswitch-users.2379917.n2.nabble.com/cisco-registering-with-IP-not… Sent from the freeswitch-users mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Cisco phone registration
by andpe 20 Apr '14

20 Apr '14

Hi I have a problem with the registration of the Cisco 79xx phones. The SIP Message Header (MH) which sends the phone, in the fields "TO" and "FROM", places the IP address instead of the domain name. The configuration of the phone is set to the domain name (xx.yy.com.) Is there any way to set the phone to send the domain name in the field instead of an IP address? Is there a firmware version that sends MH correctly? Andy

Hello, I am having an issue compiling FreeSwitch with Perl. I am running CentOS: This is the error I get when I try to make freeswitch. I have installed Perl, Perl-devel, mod_perl, mod_perl-devel and I still get the error. What am I missing? making all mod_perl CC mod_perl_la-mod_perl.lo Can't locate ExtUtils/Embed.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/local/lib64/perl5 /usr/local/share/perl5 /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/lib64/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 .). session, channels, calls
by Anish Patel 18 Apr '14

18 Apr '14

Hello all, i've been reading the wiki, book, and using some google foo in trying to understand what freeswitch considers sessions, calls, and channels. So far i've gathered a session is just a connection between FreeSWITCH and a protocol, but i haven't been able to figure out what a channel is considered and what a call is considered. I know this is probably super simple, but i havent been able to make the connection yet as to what they are. Thanks in advance. Anish
