Is there an (Overhead) "Page" Application/Function?
by Sean Devoy 22 Apr '14

22 Apr '14

Hi, If this exists and I have missed, I am sorry. However searching for "page" hits like every "Page n" in the wiki. I was demonstrating Freeswitch to a new customer who was rightfully impressed. As no good deed goes unpunished, they have a request. In this case "they" is the one who pays the bill! I was demonstrating "intercom" (aka auto-answer) and they were amazed. But, then HE said so is there a number I can dial so I can make announcements to EVERYBODY on their intercom? So I can brute force it in the dial plan, but before I jumped in, "isn't there an app for that?" The key features would be it sets auto-answer=true and dials everyone ELSEs extension, but not the one dialing. So, do I have to have an extension for this "feature" with nested <conditions> for caller id and bridge statements for each extension. This will of course have to be updated whenever an extension is added. That's not unreasonable for this customer as there are out of rooms to put people in. I was hoping to not re-invent the wheel. Also, if someone had a cute script to share that would be awesome. Maybe something that identified all currently registered users (in this REALM) and built the bridge statement dynamically, excluding the caller??? I would love to start learning more of this type of scripting function. Thanks in advance, Sean

Hello All, I was wondering if there is a python ESL package for debian or if its in pypi somewhere. I've dug around a bit and can't seem to locate it, and am currently just building it from the sources. Thanks in advance, Anish

Gateway configuration
by Helena Garcia-Nieto 22 Apr '14

22 Apr '14

Hi All! I am starting with freeswitch. I decided to test basic stuff before configuring any further. I am defining a simple gateway (see config file) and using it to transfer any call starting with 00. The config I've seen and the emails I've checked say the correct config should be: <extension name="mycall_extensions"> <condition field="destination_number" expression="^00(\d{3,20})$"> <action application="log" data="INFO Inside MyCall extensions --$1_"/> <action application="bridge" data="sofia/external/mycall/$1"/> </condition> </extension> But if I use it like this I got the error: 2014-04-15 14:49:44.289151 [INFO] mod_dialplan_xml.c:558 Processing HelenaGN <1001>->00aaaaaa in context public 2014-04-15 14:49:44.289151 [INFO] mod_dptools.c:1595 Inside MO-Call extensions --aaaaaa_ 2014-04-15 14:49:44.289151 [WARNING] mod_sofia.c:5082 Cannot locate registered user mycall/aaaaaaaa@external 2014-04-15 14:49:44.289151 [NOTICE] mod_sofia.c:5339 Close Channel N/A [CS_NEW] 2014-04-15 14:49:44.289151 [NOTICE] switch_ivr_originate.c:2670 Cannot create outgoing channel of type [sofia] cause: [USER_NOT_REGISTERED] 2014-04-15 14:49:44.289151 [INFO] mod_dptools.c:3201 Originate Failed. Why is it looking for the aaaa number on the external instead of the mycall? If I configure it with <action application="bridge" data="sofia/external/mycall/$1(a)mydomain.realm"/> It finds its way to the gateway. I don't really understand the point of defining the whole gw if you need to specify the realm here again anyway. Could someone point me in the direction of why the basic config did not work? Thanks Helena clude> <gateway name="mycall"> <param name="realm" value="mydomain.realm "/> <param name="username" value="notimportant"/> <param name="password" value="notimportant"/> <param name="register" value="false"/> </gateway> </include>

Handling RTCP Receiver Reports
by Siri MM 22 Apr '14

22 Apr '14

Hi, Could you please let me know if FreeSWITCH has support for handling RTCP Receiver Reports? At this point in time, I see an ICMP Destination Unreachable packet being sent back in response to the RTCP packet. I couldn't find any specific handling in the code either - if not already supported, are there any plans of adding support? Thanks!

Not Able to Export Multiple Diversion Headers
by Sanjiv Kumar 21 Apr '14

My ultimate goal is to receive a call from gateway-A manipulate the destination number and send the call to gateway-B. My test setup will bridge the call to extension 1001 instead to sending to gateway-B Gatway-A is sending me destination number in the format INVITE sip:9999188855512121877555121218665551212@10.10.10.10:5060 SIP/2.0 Where First 4 digits are a predefined prefix. (9999) Next 11 digits are real destination number. (18885551212) Next 11 digits are original called number (OCN). (18775551212) Next 11 digits are redirected number(RDN). (18665551212) My plan is to receive the call with above invite, parse the destination number and export OCN and RDN into diversion sip header and send the call to gateway-B. In the following config, I am exporting the diversion field twice but I see only one diversion (last one with RDN) filed on the leg-B side. What can I do to see both diversion fields. <extension name="public_did"> <condition field="destination_number" expression="^9999(\d{33})$"> <action application="set" data="orig_digits=$1"/> <!-parsing destination number --> <action application="set" data="my_ocn=${orig_digits:11:11}"/> <action application="set" data="my_rdn=${orig_digits:22:11}"/> <action application="log" data="INFO variable ORIG_DIGITS has a value = ${orig_digits}"/> <action application="log" data="INFO variable MY_OCN has a value = ${my_ocn}"/> <action application="log" data="INFO variable MY_RDN has a value = ${my_rdn}"/> <!-Exporting OCN/RDN into sip diversion header --> <action application="export" data=" nolocal:sip_h_Diversion =<sip:${my_ocn}@${network_addr}>;reason=user-busy;counter=3;privacy=off"/> <action application="export" data=" nolocal:sip_h_Diversion =<sip:${my_rdn}@${network_addr}>;reason=no-answer;counter=1;privacy=off"/> <action application="set" data="hangup_after_bridge=true" /> <action application="set" data="continue_on_fail=true"/> <action application="transfer" data="1001 XML default"/> </condition> </extension> </include>
