Digest auth sometimes doesn't work
Hi, i cannot understand a behaviour of my FS. I have a FS in the cloud, so i configured it following the Freeswitch EC2 Wiki. Users are able to register but sometimes when i try to make a call fs doesn't fallback to digest auth. Can someone help me? Thanks in advice Gabriele

Thank you for the reply :) this is the trace (using bria softphone on pc) http://pastebin.com/h3iAv9f9 I pasted 2 steps. After the first step fs_cli waits 5/6 seconds and then displays the second step :( crazygabry

I discovered that disabling ICE on Firewall Traversal settings it works! If possible, can you please suggest me a method in order to avoid this problem if someone enable ICE? I've already read and followed the NAT_Traversal tutorial in the FS Wiki. Thanks for the patience :) Gabriele
Well we could flog the firewall manufactures for thinking it was WISE to twiddle with packets as they traverse… other than that its difficult to recognize sometimes. Using TLS will always avoid it, TCP will also in some cases avoid it, as will running on a port thats not 5060… I’ve seen them all. Usually when something doesn’t make sense its an ALG. -- Brian West brian@freeswitch.org FreeSWITCH Solutions, LLC PO BOX 2531 Brookfield, WI 53008-2531 Twitter: @FreeSWITCH , @briankwest http://www.freeswitchbook.com http://www.freeswitchcookbook.com T: +1.918.420.9001 | F: +1.918.420.9002 | M: +1.918.424.WEST iNUM: +883 5100 1420 9001 ISN: 410*543 Skype:briankwest PGP Key: http://www.bkw.org:81/key.txt (AB93356707C76CED) On Apr 19, 2014, at 8:33 AM, Mr.Gab <crazygabry@gmail.com> wrote:
