Per domain ACL
by Muhammad Naseer Bhatti 23 Feb '14

23 Feb '14

Hi, While setting up FreeSWITCH with multiple domain support, how can we set per domain ACL? Like, I want to allow an IP address to come in for a certain domain only and not for any other domains or IP address of the switch? -- Thanks, Muhammad Naseer Bhatti

Re: [Freeswitch-users] sip_history_info value

Hello Brian, and thanks for the tip. Unfortunately neither outputs from info app or uuid_dump during call included history_info in their long lists of variables. Could it be a bug ? Kind regards, Giuseppe

auth-all-packets
by Russell Treleaven 22 Feb '14

22 Feb '14

After a brief discussion during the conference call early today William King urged me to send a message to the list about the profile parameter auth-all-packets. I did some testing with auth-all-packets=true and the following methods are not challenged OPTIONS, SUBSCRIBE, INFO and MESSAGE. So auth-all-packets does not auth all packets. The documentation has been updated to reflect the current behaviour of auth-all-packets. I doubt there is much interest in having OPTIONS requests challenged but maybe SUBSCRIBE should be. A parameter auth-messages already exists and similar ones could be made for other methods. What are your thoughts? Sincerely, Russell Treleaven

NULL ESL events on hangups to certain numbers
by Josh Nankin 21 Feb '14

21 Feb '14

I use the ESL to listen to Freeswitch 1.2 for call events. The events I'm listening to are CHANNEL_HANGUP and CUSTOM. For certain phone numbers, I will consistently get NULL events when calling them and the call dies. Again when this happens, its only with specific phone numbers, but all the time with these numbers. (NULL, meaning when I var_dump the freeswitch ESL event, the event is simply NULL, not a populated event object.) Any ideas?

Any way to incrementally reload xml?
by Nathan Neulinger 21 Feb '14

Is there any way to incrementally replace/update xml dialplan configuration? i.e. without going all the way to full dynamic load with xml_curl or similar. -- Nathan ------------------------------------------------------------ Nathan Neulinger nneul(a)mst.edu Missouri S&T Information Technology (573) 612-1412 System Administrator - Architect

conference.freeswitch.org not working from some internet places
by covici＠ccs.covici.com 21 Feb '14

21 Feb '14

Hi. I am having troubles accessing 888(a)conference.freeswitch.org from my server, although I can do it from a vm I have set up somewhere else. Someone else said they were having the same problem, so I wonder if its being blocked or something? When I try to access the conference, and go to http://conference.freeswitch.org it says no active conferences, so something strange is happening. Any ideas? -- Your life is like a penny. You're going to lose it. The question is: How do you spend it? John Covici covici(a)ccs.covici.com

why is the user directory in core and not a module
by Vik Killa 21 Feb '14

21 Feb '14

Good morning, I am considering creating my own database driven user directory for user authentication to replace the current setup of using XML. My question is, why is this aspect of freeswitch built-in to the core, rather than a module? Also, since it is built-in core, other modules (IE mod_voicemail) rely upon it. Because of this, it seems nearly impossible to get away from using freeswitch's XML user directory. Wouldn't it be better to have abstract code in core that obtains the user directory information from a module (mod_user_directory could be the first module that uses XML like current standard)? This way you can use a different module for user auth. and other modules (like mod_voicemail) can still rely on core for user information? Thanks

Missing sending BYE and missing OK message
by Georgi Stefanov 21 Feb '14

21 Feb '14

Thanks for the suggestion Claus But of course I have tried with one call - no problem In matter of fact no problem is seen up to 25 CPS and 250 total calls (10 sec call duration) Somewhere between 25 and 40 CPS the problem is rarely shown. The issue become more obvious around 100 CPS I thought it could be an issue, but I need to know I have missed some setting or not. It sounds like a bug to me
