bleg app data question
by Stuart Mills 04 Sep '13

04 Sep '13

Hi, Is anyone able to tell me in which case app_log data will be written to the bleg xml-cdr of a call please. Does something trigger this off? Could it be something I am doing that causes this to happen? Thanks, Stuart

Google voice call fails
by Terry Barnum 04 Sep '13

04 Sep '13

I've been reading the freeswitch book (great read!) and playing with my first freeswitch install on a Mac mini host with freeswitch installed via git into a Virtualbox guest CentOS 6.4. It's working with a couple X-Lite softphones and a Yealink T32G, internally between extensions, using a free DID to test incoming calls and a free but limited iptel account to test outbound. My next step was to try and play with real outbound calls so I followed these instructions for Google voice: <http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Google_Voice> but outbound calls fail and are hung up. I disabled the h264 codec in dingaling.conf.xml leaving just PCMU but no change. xmpp appears to be connecting and authenticating to google correctly. The log of an attempted call (edited for privacy) is at <http://pastebin.freeswitch.org/21338> Snippets of the log that looks suspicious to a freeswitch noob: 2013-08-26 20:45:33.568012 [DEBUG] mod_dingaling.c:1627 Accepted 0 of 0 rtp candidates. 2013-08-26 20:45:33.568012 [DEBUG] mod_dingaling.c:1629 Accepted 0 of 0 rtcp candidates. 2013-08-26 20:45:33.568012 [DEBUG] mod_dingaling.c:1632 Accepted 0 of 0 video_rtp candidates 2013-08-26 20:45:33.568012 [DEBUG] mod_dingaling.c:1635 Accepted 0 of 0 video_rctp candidates 2013-08-26 20:45:34.649239 [DEBUG] mod_dingaling.c:4114 using Existing session for 2155444888 2013-08-26 20:45:34.649239 [DEBUG] mod_dingaling.c:3577 3 rtp candidates 2013-08-26 20:45:34.649239 [DEBUG] mod_dingaling.c:3597 candidate 74.125.141.127:19305 PASS ACL wan.auto 2013-08-26 20:45:34.649239 [DEBUG] mod_dingaling.c:3651 Acceptable rtp Candidate 74.125.141.127:19305 2013-08-26 20:45:34.649239 [DEBUG] mod_dingaling.c:3577 0 video_rtp candidates 2013-08-26 20:45:34.649239 [DEBUG] mod_dingaling.c:3577 0 rtcp candidates 2013-08-26 20:45:34.649239 [DEBUG] mod_dingaling.c:3577 0 video_rtcp candidates 2013-08-26 20:45:35.208090 [DEBUG] mod_dingaling.c:4114 using Existing session for 2155444888 2013-08-26 20:45:35.208090 [DEBUG] mod_dingaling.c:4434 hungup dingaling/gtalk/+7609876543(a)voice.google.com Where should I be looking to try and fix? Can't build version 1.2
by Oleg Stolyar 03 Sep '13

03 Sep '13

Hi everyone, I can't seem to build version 1.2 from Git. I am following the instructions on this page: http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Installation_Guide and it works great as long as I build master. But as soon as I switch to the 1.2stable branch by either git clone -b v1.2.stable git://git.freeswitch.org/freeswitch.git or git clone git://git.freeswitch.org/freeswitch.git git checkout v1.2.stable it breaks. When I call "make" it says "make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop." What am I doing wrong? Just to reiterate - everything works fine if I am building master. Thank you Oleg

In a LUA script, I'd like to send an SMS message, but I'd like to have the sender appear as my DID number. This sounds like a FAQ, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere. Any help? -- Steve

Receiving faxes through Freeswitch
by Ravi 03 Sep '13

03 Sep '13

Hello Everyone ! I am trying to use Freeswitch to primarily receive and rarely send faxes. I have a user 1050 defined as in the pastebin ... http://pastebin.freeswitch.org/21361 I have a PRI connection and I have configured Freeswitch to have incoming and outgoing calls. Can someone on this list help me with the following: 1) Is there a difference between the user configuration for the user that receives calls and the one that receives a fax? I merely copied the user configuration that came with Freeswitch for user 1000.xml into 1050.xml. should it be differently configured for a number that is allotted to receive faxes ? 2) The dialplan for receiving faxes is given below: Does this look ok or am I missing something ? <extension name="fax_receive"> <condition field="destination_number" expression="^(050$)"> <action application="answer" /> <action application="playback" data="silence_stream://2000"/> <action application="rxfax" data="$${base_dir}/faxes/${caller_id_number}.tif"/> <action application="hangup"/> </condition> </extension> 3) The number that I have configured to receive faxes is 4302050. When I dial this number from a phone, the call is received in Freeswitch. But when I try to send a fax online from any of the internet online fax services or from a local fax machine, the call is never received in Freeswitch. Any potential reason why this could be happening ? Any help is appreciated. Thanks for your time and support. Best, Ravi

provider + DID
by Jerome LEGRAND 03 Sep '13

03 Sep '13

Hello, I have a problem on my DID FreeSwitch. I am registered "reged" to my SIP provider (Legos), my outgoing calls work, but my incoming calls no ... Looking at the logs, FreeSwitch trying to match my calling with the top line number, not the DID I call ... So, it does not work ... Do you have any ideas? This is a configuration problem FreeSwitch, where it comes from my operator? Thank you in advance! Merci d'avance ! Cordialement, Jérome
