In a LUA script, I'd like to send an SMS message, but I'd like to have the sender appear as my DID number. This sounds like a FAQ, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere. Any help? -- Steve
SMS sending is fully dependent on your SMS provider. Mine, for example, has an HTTP API which accepts the sender, recipient, and the message as URI parameters. Then I wrote a small Shell script, and execute it with the "system" application directly from FreeSWITCH dial plan. ________________________________ From: Steven Schoch <schoch+freeswitch.org@xwin32.com> To: freeswitch-users <freeswitch-users@lists.freeswitch.org> Sent: Tuesday, September 3, 2013 7:45 PM Subject: [Freeswitch-users] SMS Gateway In a LUA script, I'd like to send an SMS message, but I'd like to have the sender appear as my DID number. Excellent. Now, I'm asking for recommendations for an SMS provider that offers the ability to specify the sender (as yours does), and can send to US (or at least Verizon) phones. On Tue, Sep 3, 2013 at 10:53 AM, Stanislav Sinyagin <ssinyagin@yahoo.com>wrote:

Depending on your messaging volume, you can also use mod_gsmopen/mod_sms and a USB modem dongle to send out SMS. -- Guillermo On Tue, Sep 3, 2013 at 5:02 PM, Steven Schoch < schoch+freeswitch.org@xwin32.com> wrote:

here's my provider in Switzerland: http://www.inetworx.ch/smsgateway.php?tab=prices The text is in German, but the owner speaks English. If you send me the sender and destination numbers privately, I can produce an SMS and you will see if it gets right. ________________________________ From: Steven Schoch <schoch+freeswitch.org@xwin32.com> To: FreeSWITCH Users Help <freeswitch-users@lists.freeswitch.org> Sent: Tuesday, September 3, 2013 10:02 PM Subject: Re: [Freeswitch-users] SMS Gateway Excellent.
