Leg B is left hanging
by Vishal Sharma 29 Jun '15

Hi All, I am using ESL to control the call flow. My initial call flow is as following 1. INVITE---> FS 2. 180<--------| 3. 200<--------| 4. ------------>ACK 5. *************|-------------->INVITE 6. *************|<---------------180 7. BYE------->| 8. Retransmissions of BYE 9. *************|<----------------200 OK 10. 200(bye)<---| Now Leg B remains hanging... Shouldn't FS have killed it since legA is dead. legB was generated using bridge command. On Application I get Channel Hangup on 200 bye. In channle hangup . there is no legB uuid hence application neither can disconnect the legB nor it can wait on any events/messages. This issue seems to sofia related. Regards, Vishal Sharma f -- SuperReceptionist is now available on Android mobiles. My hardware is OpenVox. Newer kernels/dahdi have a dahdi_no_read/write function set that returns ENOSYS. This appears to confused FreeSWITCH which then says: 2015-06-25 19:42:56.390679 [DEBUG] ftdm_config.c:52 New mod directory: /usr/local/freeswitch/lib/freeswitch/mod 2015-06-25 19:42:56.390679 [DEBUG] I did have to move ftmod_* from /usr/local/freeswitch/mod to /usr/local/freeswitch/libs/freeswitch/mod before I got this far. Unfortunately, I need to be using newer versions of Fedora. 21 won't compile it properly and it goes off into lah lah land the first time any call hangs up. Fedora 22, I have to change __FUNCTION__ to __func__ in some of the freetdm files to get it to compile (GCC 5.1.1 with pedantic says ISO C doesn't allow predefined __FUNCTION__ and the manual suggests the change made). Permissions on /dev/dahdi and /dev/dahdi/* seem to be correct. I moved all the configuration files as needed according to the --prefix changes made. I cannot find anything online about this. I may just be searching for the wrong terms. Anyone know how to fix this at this time? I would greatly appreciate any help as I have been away from the computing world for a few months. Trever

by Alejandro 28 Jun '15

Hi All, I has 2 questions about voicemail. 1- what is the recommended Codec for voicemail grettings? I upload a gretting recorded by locutor but I don't know why don't listen this... possible codec issue for this reason I like to check this point. 2- some way to remove the IVR options when the caller stop to speech and silence funcion detect them, and ask about listen, or others options? I'll like to just stop the call. Thanks for any advice. Alejandro

Force digest auth even if acl authenticated
by John Nash 28 Jun '15

I am using acl but I also want to authenticate all Invites with digest challenge. The default config does not behave this way. Once my Invite is authenticated by acl it no longer sends 407. Is there any way? John

User search logic
by John Nash 27 Jun '15

Hello, I am having hard time understanding how freeswitch searches users from xml directories. In my test setup I have users xml inside conf/directory/default but list_users command does not show me any users (in default.xml also I have some users) What are the modules required in order to read users from xml directory?...what is the logic used by freeswitch to check users? Mysql + ODBC shared database issue
by bhavik patel 27 Jun '15

27 Jun '15

Hi All, I have some wired thing happen, not sure its an issue OR bug. I was created MYSQL ODBC connection for 2 freeswitch server which have shared database and configure odbc-dsn in db.conf.xml file and its was working. But after sometime my database server was crashed and i lost my database. Once by database server back,Now when ever i run "reload mod_db" OR "reload mod_sofia" its not connecting ODBC database, but still i am accessible using "isql -v dbname". Also if i change odbc-dsn in configuration file and do wrong configuration then showing error like not connecting "[unixODBC][MySQL][ODBC 5.1 Driver]Access denied" error. After change to proper odbc-dsn parameter not showing any error but not able to create table again. I also tried like restart freeswitch many times no luck. My freeswitch version (Both server same ) : FreeSWITCH Version 1.4.15+git~20141229T185951Z~507a0f22c5~64bit (git 507a0f2 2014-12-29 18:59:51Z 64bit) Please suggest me what i am doing wrong. -- Thanks, Bhavik Patel

Seem to be attacked, CPU rate 95%, stop working, no log output.
by Eric Ni 26 Jun '15

Hi, I am using FreeSWITCH Version 1.4.18+git~20150312T185523Z~4eed221b69~64bit (git 4eed221 2015-03-12 18:55:23Z 64bit) on ubuntu 14.04, Linode VPS. It has been working fine for about 2 months. But recently it stopped working with CPU rate above 95% for several times. SIP client got 408 timeout error. I have to login system to kill the process and start over again. Then it back to normal for a period. Checked the log file, it seem to be a sudden stop. Nothing special before the stop and completely no log starting from the issue. May I ask how I should handle this issue? Thanks. Regards, Eric
