freeswitch does not save the core when crashed
Your user needs write permission on the dir its started from. Your problem is something to do with your user permissions. The core dumping works fine. On Fri, Jun 26, 2015 at 10:49 AM, Mi Ke <mi.ke@null.net> wrote:
Hi All,
Please advise what I should do to have FS core saved when it crashes? I compile it with default options (with debug symbols), do ulimit -c unlimited under freeswitch user before running freeswitch -c in /tmp dir, however when it crashes it leaves no core. My OS is Centos 6.6 2.6.32-504.23.4.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP, FS version 1.7.0+git~20150624T224859Z~b788523f76~64bit (git b788523 2015-06-24 22:48:59Z 64bit)

Also check the dmesg output - it'll tell you if it dumped a core. It's possible it's not going to the directory you expect. There are also some /proc options that control whether coredumps are generated that might be worth checking. On 26 June 2015 at 17:04, Anthony Minessale <anthony.minessale@gmail.com> wrote:

You may need to echo 1 to /proc/sys/fs/suid_dumpable for this to work. Anthony Minessale <anthony.minessale@gmail.com> wrote:
