by Marcin M. 29 Aug '14

Hi, iam trying to use one mysql db beetwen Freeswitches but have some issues on each one fs: For example fs1dev: [ERR] switch_odbc.c:514 ERR: [delete from sip_registrations where expires > 0 and expires <= 1409289251 and hostname='fs1dev'] [ERR] switch_odbc.c:514 ERR: [delete from registrations where expires > 0 and expires <= 1409288616 and hostname='fs1dev'] fs3dev: [ERR] switch_odbc.c:514 ERR: [delete from sip_registrations where expires > 0 and expires <= 1409284836 and hostname='fs3 dev'] Opensips on front as sip load balancer only (forwarding sip registration to fs machines) on each node there is FreeSWITCH Version 1.2.12 Linux fs3dev 3.2.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.2.51-1 x86_64 GNU/Linux cat /etc/odbcinst.ini [MySQL] Description = MySQL driver Driver = /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/odbc/libmyodbc.so Setup = /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/odbc/libodbcmyS.so UsageCount = 1 FileUsage = 1 Threading = 0 issue exist on Mysql 5.6 or Percona Galera 5.6.15-63.0 using same mysql version (InnoDB) we tried to setup indexing, but this not help : ALTER TABLE registrations ADD KEY r_host_expires (hostname, expires); ALTER TABLE sip_registrations ADD KEY host_expires (hostname, expires); there is no load at all on FS machines (up to 5 sip users registering). Freeswitch configuration: add to /usr/local/freeswitch/conf/autoload_configs/spidermonkey.conf.xml <load module="mod_spidermonkey_odbc"/> add to /usr/local/freeswitch/conf/autoload_configs/voicemail.conf.xml |<param name="odbc-dsn" value="odbc://freeswitch:root:password"/>| add to /usr/local/freeswitch/conf/autoload_configs/switch.conf.xml <param name="core-db-dsn" value="freeswitch:fs:password" /> <param name="core-recovery-db-dsn" value="odbc://freeswitch:fs:password"/> <param name="odbc-dsn" value="odbc://freeswitch:fs:password"/> <param name="track-calls" value="true"/> <param name="switchname" value="fs1dev"/> or <param name="switchname" value="$${hostname}"/> Sofia.conf.xml Added odbc-dsn param setting under global_settings and under <settings></settings> in each sip profile: sip_profiles/external.xml sip_profiles/internal.xml sip_profiles/internal-ipv6.xml <param name="odbc-dsn" value="freeswitch:fs:password"/> ----------- Main question is if FS 1.2.12 is designed for such configuration ? Maybe someone resolve that issue ? Maybe it is fixed in some newest version of Freeswitch ? Mysql tuning ? Maybe someone have enviroment that works without Deadlock issue ? which mysql and fs version ? thanks for any help Marcin

Installing luasocket on FreeSWITCH 1.4 and up
by Giovanni Maruzzelli 29 Aug '14

Dear FreeSWITCHers, starting 1.4 FS is no more compatible with luasocket 2.0.2, you will need version 3.0.rc1 and some tricks. Full instructions at: https://confluence.freeswitch.org/display/FREESWITCH/Installing+LuaSocket -giovanni Sincerely, Giovanni Maruzzelli Cell : +39-347-2665618

Gateway DNS SRV and SIP OPTIONS logic combined?
by Victor Chukalovskiy 28 Aug '14

28 Aug '14

Good day, Does anyone know how exactly FS handles Sofia gateway configured with the following? * proxy resolved through DNS SRV; returns 5 records of the same weight * registration disabled * SIP OPTIONS enabled Is it going to send OPTIONS to 5 IPs in round-robin? If so, what if 2 out 5 fail OPTIONS but the rest remain active? Is FS going to intelligently round-robin calls between remaining 3 IPs or it will mark the entire gateway as "down"? Thank you, -Victor

Strange problem with recordings
by Alex Lake 28 Aug '14

28 Aug '14

It's early days on this issue, but I had a report of a problem with one of our freeswitch installations (version 1.2.24+git~20140513T183205Z~9af707ed20~64bit) This host is not particularly busy. I had 4 calls with about 10-30 mins in between. I was recording the calls The problem was that although the .wav files had different lengths, when I loaded them into a WAV editor (GoldWave in my case) they all sounded the same! It was as though all the calls had been correctly recorded, but at the end of recording, a chunk of sound with an EOF code had been overlaid at the front of the file in such a way that the end of the file was never rendered, even though it's actually there. I don't know enough about WAV encoding to see if it really is there - are there any "forensic" WAV tools that might help? And I suppose I am also asking if anyone else has ever seen anything like this?

FreeSwitch doesn't wait for ACK on OK with SDP
by Andrey Vorobiev 28 Aug '14

28 Aug '14

Hi. I have a rather simple case: SIP client calls FreeSwitch, then IVR lua script is being executed. In IVR script I do the following logic (in pseudo code): session:answer(); while session:isReady() then do http request to external service if response is ok then session:execute("deflect", "some other SIP URI"); else do some other logic end end In dialplan I have something like this: <extension name="xxx"> <condition field="destination_number" expression="^\d+$"> <action application="set" data="default_language=ru"/> <action application="lua" data="/etc/freeswitch/scripts/ivr/main.lua"/> </condition> </extension> SIP message flow looks like following: INVITE --> <-- Trying <-- OK with SDP ACK --> <-- REFER >From my understanding of SIP (which obviously may be wrong:)) I expect session to become ready (session:isReady returns true) only after FreeSwitch receives ACK from SIP client. But seems that it's not so, because if I introduce small delay in SIP client before sending ACK it receives REFER before ACK is being send to FreeSwitch. So as result I have several questions: - Is it expected that FreeSwitch doesn't wait for ACK? - Are the any options to change default behaviour expect introducing some seconds delay after session is answered? -- Best regards.

SIP Trunk registration issues.
by Siddhardha Garige 27 Aug '14

27 Aug '14

Hello all, New to Freeswith and I am working on setting up a sip trunk to register freeswith to external service provider. Follwoing sequences are happening in order. 1. Freeswith sends REGISTER to external Registrar. (Expire=360) 2. Registrar responds with 200OK. (expries=360) 3. After few seconds, Freeswitch sends REGISTER with Expries=0 and unregisters. Looks like Timer K is expiring. After successful 200 OK why expring timer K triggers an UnRegister? nta.c:9099 outgoing_timer_dk() nta: timer K fired, terminate REGISTER (64250994) Any help is much appreciated. -Sid I enabled sofia debug and here is the log 2014-08-27 17:15:16.842412 [NOTICE] sofia_reg.c:423 Registering Inphonex nua.c:622 nua_register() nua: nua_register: entering nua_stack.c:529 nua_signal() nua(0xb6518d28): sent signal r_register nua_stack.c:569 nua_stack_signal() nua(0xb6518d28): recv signal r_register nua_params.c:480 nua_stack_set_params() nua: nua_stack_set_params: entering soa.c:280 soa_clone() soa_clone(static::0xb6100d80, 0xb61008f8, 0xb6518d28) called soa.c:403 soa_set_params() soa_set_params(static::0xb6114780, ...) called soa.c:403 soa_set_params() soa_set_params(static::0xb6114780, ...) called nua_dialog.c:338 nua_dialog_usage_add() nua(0xb6518d28): adding register usage nta.c:4415 nta_leg_tcreate() nta_leg_tcreate(0xb612b810) nta.c:2665 nta_tpn_by_url() nta: selecting scheme sip tport.c:3257 tport_tsend() tport_tsend(0xb61023d8) tpn = udp/172.16.222.166:5060 tport.c:4046 tport_resolve() tport_resolve addrinfo = 172.16.222.166:5060 tport.c:4680 tport_by_addrinfo() tport_by_addrinfo(0xb61023d8): not found by name udp/172.16.222.166:5060 tport.c:3594 tport_vsend() tport_vsend(0xb61023d8): 574 bytes of 574 to udp/172.16.222.166:5060 tport.c:3492 tport_send_msg() tport_vsend returned 574 nta.c:8302 outgoing_send() nta: sent REGISTER (64250994) to udp/172.16.222.166:5060 tport.c:4160 tport_pend() tport_pend(0xb61023d8): pending 0xb6127c50 for udp/172.16.1.10:5092 (already 0) nta.c:1350 set_timeout() nta: timer set to 32000 ms nta.c:1348 set_timeout() nta: timer shortened to 1000 ms tport.c:2749 tport_wakeup_pri() tport_wakeup_pri(0xb61023d8): events IN tport.c:2864 tport_recv_event() tport_recv_event(0xb61023d8) tport.c:3205 tport_recv_iovec() tport_recv_iovec(0xb61023d8) msg 0xb6153848 from (udp/172.16.1.10:5092) has 435 bytes, veclen = 1 tport.c:3023 tport_deliver() tport_deliver(0xb61023d8): msg 0xb6153848 (435 bytes) from udp/172.16.222.166:5092/sip next=(nil) nta.c:3297 agent_recv_response() nta: received 200 OK for REGISTER (64250994) nta.c:3364 agent_recv_response() nta: 200 OK is going to a transaction nta.c:9562 outgoing_estimate_delay() nta_outgoing: RTT is 3.65 ms tport.c:4222 tport_release() tport_release(0xb61023d8): 0xb6127c50 by 0xb612cac0 with 0xb6153848 nua_dialog.c:564 nua_dialog_usage_set_refresh_range() nua(): refresh register after 259 seconds (in [90..270]) nua_stack.c:271 nua_stack_event() nua(0xb6518d28): event r_register 200 OK nua_stack.c:359 nua_application_event() nua: nua_application_event: entering nua.c:366 nua_handle_magic() nua: nua_handle_magic: entering nua.c:366 nua_handle_magic() nua: nua_handle_magic: entering nta.c:1296 agent_timer() nta: timer set next to 4003 ms nta.c:9099 outgoing_timer_dk() nta: timer K fired, terminate REGISTER (64250994) nta.c:8797 outgoing_reclaim_queued() outgoing_reclaim_all((nil), (nil), 0xb570f1cc) nta.c:8927 _nta_outgoing_timer() nta_outgoing_timer: 0/0 resent, 0/0 tout, 1/1 term, 1/1 free nta.c:1289 agent_timer() nta: timer not set

feature idea for fs_cli
by Nathan Neulinger 27 Aug '14

27 Aug '14

In fs_cli, would be cool to have cisco-like extensions to support include/exclude/begin: show channels | include regex show channels | exclude regex show channels | begin regex It's obviously not always going to generate useful output (particularly since it will usually strip header), but can be very helpful when doing interactive diagnostics. http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/fundamentals/configuration… -- Nathan ------------------------------------------------------------ Nathan Neulinger nneul(a)mst.edu Missouri S&T Information Technology (573) 612-1412 System Administrator - Architect

Hey Brian, I would like to process manually the redirect within dialplan, but in case of enterprise originate, this happens for me automatically although I have manual_redirect set. Thanks, DanB
