Default Max conference members
by Siri MM 25 Jun '14

25 Jun '14

Hi, By default, when max_members is not specified, it has a value of 0. Does freeswitch have an internal limit for the maximum members allowed, if there is no explicit max_member setting from user? Looking at this from a system load perspective. Thanks

Hello everyone! I´m a new FreeSWITCH user and I´m evaluating this for a new project. I´d like to get some information about it. It looks it already support v.18 (TDD) protocol. Can someone confirm how reliable is this protocol currently implemented? Thanks, Rodrigo.

Could someone please explain what the effect the -waste parameter has on starting FreeSwitch? Also, what are the implications of turning off the scoreboard by running with -nosql? What functionality is lost? thanks, -- Guillermo Ruiz Camauer

Delays on VirtualMachines vs baremetal
by Daniel Ivanov 25 Jun '14

25 Jun '14

I am running multiple FS nodes on virtualmachines and sometimes am getting choppy audio and network delays when network conditions are perfect. Do you think it's worth migrating the instances to bare metal and will i notice improvement in call quality?

NORMAL_CIRCUIT_CONGESTION on gsmopen
by Shlomi Agiv 25 Jun '14

25 Jun '14

(moved from a different thread) on occasion, when trying to make a call, we're getting 'NORMAL_CIRCUIT_CONGESTION' and we're not getting any incoming calls. Currently what we do is unload mod_gsmopen, remove and reinsert the usb stick, then load mod_gsmopen. This also doesn't always help since sometimes we can't unload the gsmopen module (it says 'model in use'). in that case we restart freeswitch and reinsert the usb stick. This might not be caused by the gsmopen, since we're controlling the messages coming from the sim, and we might be doing something wrong. Anyone know what the issue is? Thanks, Shlomi
