NORMAL_CIRCUIT_CONGESTION on gsmopen
(moved from a different thread) on occasion, when trying to make a call, we're getting 'NORMAL_CIRCUIT_CONGESTION' and we're not getting any incoming calls. Currently what we do is unload mod_gsmopen, remove and reinsert the usb stick, then load mod_gsmopen. This also doesn't always help since sometimes we can't unload the gsmopen module (it says 'model in use'). in that case we restart freeswitch and reinsert the usb stick. This might not be caused by the gsmopen, since we're controlling the messages coming from the sim, and we might be doing something wrong. Anyone know what the issue is? Thanks, Shlomi

It seems something wrong with USB hardware. Maybe your USB port does not provide enough current for GSM-stick. Best Wishes, Dmitry. 2014-06-24 17:42 GMT+03:00 Shlomi Agiv <shlomi.agiv@cell-buddy.com>:

Quite possible this is the reason. Is there a way to restart the connection without physically removing and reinserting the usb stick? On Wed, Jun 25, 2014 at 7:18 AM, Dmitry Lysenko <dvl36.ripe.nick@gmail.com> wrote:

If it's an hardware problem (eg: USB failing to give enough power) I would suggest to use a powered (eg: with the power brick in the wall socket) USB hub between server and usb stick Sincerely, Giovanni Maruzzelli Cell : +39-347-2665618 On Wed, Jun 25, 2014 at 10:25 AM, Shlomi Agiv <shlomi.agiv@cell-buddy.com> wrote:

Is there a way to restart the connection without physically removing and reinserting the usb stick? Yes. Google: hub-ctrl But this utility does not work on most of USB hardware.
