dialing multiple destinations simultaneously in lua
by Vincent Xia 16 May '14

16 May '14

here is what the wiki says about how to dial multiple destinations simultaneously: “Multiple destinations in outbound calls. This means any dialstring may contain a '|' and/or ',' separated list of call URLs. The "|" calls one call at a time, the "," calls multiple calls simultaneously. The example below will call 2 locations and connects the first to answer <extension name="3002"> <condition field="destination_number" expression="^3002$"> <action application="bridge" data="iax/guest@somebox/1234,sofia/test-int/1000@somehost"/> </condition> </extension>” so my question is what's the equivalent of doing something like <action application="bridge" data="user/1001, user/1002"/> in lua script? though i wonder if it's possible cuz someone has said the scripts are not asynchronous, they work in blocked mode so the calls will have to be made one after another, not simultaneously.

originate jumps into extension+context before answer
by Valter Nogueira 15 May '14

15 May '14

When I send the following commanda bgapi originate sofia/gateway/vono/01155556666 exten XML my_context It starts to execute exten@my_context before the call answer. I perceived that because I am inside a conference and my intention is to join that call in the same conference after the answer. Could it be a missing parameter ou an error from the voip provider which signalled with answer even before the pstn line answer. Thanks in advance, Valter

opus BW limit
by Chris Martineau 15 May '14

15 May '14

Hi, Is it possible to limit the BW with opus and Freeswitch? When setting the BW limit on the client side the correct sdp gets sent to Freeswitch but there is nothing in the 200OK from Freeswitch to indicate that it has acknowledged the setting. Looking at the stats on the client it seems to be limiting the bandwidth upstream but it is still not being limited downstream from the switch. I have seen some settings such as maxaveragebitrate but not sure how you implement this or whether it is relevant. Is there a way of setting the BW limit on opus? Regards Chris

Good day. I'm trying to make call transfer for now w/ this scheme: A leg calls B leg, that transfers the call through DTMF *3 to C leg and hangs the call. What i did is: a) I placed <extension name="att_xfer"> <condition field="destination_number" expression="^att_xfer$"> <action application="say" data="PASSEDHEREmark"/> <action application="bridge" data="sofia/internal/1000"/> </condition> </extension> in dialplan/default file. b) Now, i have to put <action application="bind_meta_app" data="3 b o execute_extension::att_xfer XML features"/> , but i do not know where to put it (which file) so that it will work. Thank you in advance.

windows server 2008, luasocket causes fs to crash
by Vincent Xia 15 May '14

15 May '14

i tried to install luasocket for fs under windows by copying luasocket pack to the freeswith directory, including socket\core.dll and some other lua scripts required by lua http access, but the fs crashes upon executing: local http = require("socket.http"); local ltn12 = require("ltn12"); i also tried to build the luasocket dll with the source code by adding them to the fs project but no luck, the dll also causes fs to crash.i saw a couple of posts on how to install luasocket for freeswitch but they are not under windows. any suggestions?

esl_recv_event failed
by Bhavesh Soni 15 May '14

What is the significance of esl_recv_event? When can it fail? In my code, I keep on trying esl connect, when i get esl_recv_event failed; Meanwhile somebody(other thread) might try using ESL resource and my box is crashing. Can esl_recv_event failed be a culprit? -- Regards Bhavesh GS LAB (O) +91 20 4671 1256 (M) +91 86000 64681
