Hi, Is it possible to limit the BW with opus and Freeswitch? When setting the BW limit on the client side the correct sdp gets sent to Freeswitch but there is nothing in the 200OK from Freeswitch to indicate that it has acknowledged the setting. Looking at the stats on the client it seems to be limiting the bandwidth upstream but it is still not being limited downstream from the switch. I have seen some settings such as maxaveragebitrate but not sure how you implement this or whether it is relevant. Is there a way of setting the BW limit on opus? Regards Chris
Look at ./conf/vanilla/autoload_configs/opus.conf.xml, Currently it only has complexity, and use_vbr, adding additional options to the config and parser should be simple, work a patch up, file a JIRA and you’ll have started down the road of contributing back to the project. This is the patch where the VBR/Complexity options and the config file were added. https://jira.freeswitch.org/secure/attachment/20042/0001-Added-XML-config-to... -- Brian West brian@freeswitch.org Twitter: @FreeSWITCH , @briankwest http://www.freeswitchbook.com http://www.freeswitchcookbook.com T: +1.918.420.9001 | F: +1.918.420.9002 | M: +1.918.424.WEST iNUM: +883 5100 1420 9001 ISN: 410*543 Skype:briankwest PGP Key: http://www.bkw.org/key.txt (AB93356707C76CED) On May 13, 2014, at 9:17 AM, Chris Martineau <chris@ghosttelecom.com> wrote:

I would *definitely* be willing to sponsor some work to make OPUS sample rate, complexity, vbr, etc more dynamic with channel variables or even ESL commands ;). On Thu, May 15, 2014 at 9:11 AM, Brian West <brian@freeswitch.org> wrote:

Le me a JIRA filed, spec out the options and discuss what would be the best approach. I’ve already been looking at this today ;) -- Brian West brian@freeswitch.org Twitter: @FreeSWITCH , @briankwest http://www.freeswitchbook.com http://www.freeswitchcookbook.com T: +1.918.420.9001 | F: +1.918.420.9002 | M: +1.918.424.WEST iNUM: +883 5100 1420 9001 ISN: 410*543 Skype:briankwest PGP Key: http://www.bkw.org/key.txt (AB93356707C76CED) On May 15, 2014, at 10:25 AM, Kristian Kielhofner <kris@kriskinc.com> wrote:

https://jira.freeswitch.org/browse/FS-6526 After I filed that, I realized we already may have a method to tweak with the FMTP from variables, either way I’ll research and document this either way we go. -- Brian West brian@freeswitch.org Twitter: @FreeSWITCH , @briankwest http://www.freeswitchbook.com http://www.freeswitchcookbook.com T: +1.918.420.9001 | F: +1.918.420.9002 | M: +1.918.424.WEST iNUM: +883 5100 1420 9001 ISN: 410*543 Skype:briankwest PGP Key: http://www.bkw.org/key.txt (AB93356707C76CED) On May 15, 2014, at 10:25 AM, Kristian Kielhofner <kris@kriskinc.com> wrote:
