Pickup on bypass_media
by Chris B. Ware 22 Oct '14

22 Oct '14

Hi, I send calls to local users as follows: <action application="set" data="bypass_media=true"/> <action application="bridge" data="user/${cCalled}@${domain_name},pickup/test"/> So when A calls B, rtp stream is point to point between ip-phones. I've tried to implement call pickup as follows: <condition field="destination_number" expression="^\*8$" break="on-true"> <action application="answer"/> <action application="pickup" data="test"/> <action application="sleep" data="500"/></condition> Is it right? Should it work on bypass_media mode? If I have to take the rtp stream on FS to let it work, how should I do? Thanks

How to see if Freeswitch is transcodin
by kthofer 22 Oct '14

22 Oct '14

Hi There I am looking for a simple way to see if FS is actual transcoding between two channels in our usecase FS is setting up 2 outbound calls and after the A-leg has answered we set up a second outgoing call when answered we bridge the 2 legs. I can not see if FS is transcoding or not with out doing a siptrace on the 2 legs. --

Can anyone help what could be the problem. I think channel state should move to HANGUP_COMPLETE and then to DOWN. So that it can be used in further calls. Thanks, Vishal.

New Post on freeswitch.org from anthm check it out at http://ift.tt/1tbwGGi FreeSWITCH Wikipedia Entry The FreeSWITCH Wikipedia page is quite sparse and out of date. The core developers are discouraged from editing our own article so we have to look to the community for impartial consideration. If anyone feels like doing some contribution to the project, updating that article that is basically from 2007, would be a great help so if anyone knows someone who has experience on wikipedia maybe you could get together and help make it more current.
