Inbound DID
by Paul 24 Jul '13

24 Jul '13

Hi guys, This is going to be a very noob question, I'm still trying to get off the ground my very first FreeSWITCH box, and amazingly enough finally got past the 30 second call drop issue, my outbound calls are going good, but have an issue with Inbound. When my provider sends the call, for some reason it ends up in the internal sip profile (I'm using internal on 5060, and external on 5080 as per example config). Then FS does this: [NOTICE] switch_channel.c:1030 New Channel sofia/internal/8005551212@160.15.163.10:5060 [4febe90a-f420-11e2-a333-3d0de29ba0df] and a few lines down [WARNING] switch_core_state_machine.c:514 4febe90a-f420-11e2-a333-3d0de29ba0df sofia/internal/8005551212@160.15.163.10:5060 Abandoned I'm thinking that this is because it's coming in on port 5060 which is assigned to internal sip profile? Any light on this issue is appreciated :) I'm reading both FreeSwitch Cookbook and FreeSwitch 1.2 at the same time, but both are very vague on this, which might lead me to believe that maybe my reg_ex isn't working properly. Thanks guys!

Tonedetect - multiple frequencies AND or OR ?
by Karl Schmidt 24 Jul '13

24 Jul '13

It seems to work as an 'OR' - either tone makes the result - but that does not make sense? Shouldn't this be an 'AND' ? How is it supposed to work? Also - the r and w flag -- I'm assuming (which is always risky) that r(reading) means the other end is sending the tone? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Karl Schmidt EMail Karl(a)xtronics.com Transtronics, Inc. Build script in Ubuntu 12.04
by Richard Mace 24 Jul '13

24 Jul '13

Hi all, Does the script on : http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Ubuntu_Quick_Startunder "create Ubuntu packages and install them" also work for updating freeSWITCH as well, that is, if I ran it on a weekly basis, would it always keep me up-to-date or do I need a seperate one for "updating" freeSWITCH? Thanks in advance. Richard

group_call and hold_music
by Lloyd Aloysius 24 Jul '13

24 Jul '13

Hi All In directory group, I want each users have their own music on hold settings. Dial directly to a user is fine with channel variable hold_music. But when we use group_call , i could not find a way to set up user hold music preference for each user. Is it possible to setup the hold_music in the user directory variable( <variable name="hold_music" value="default"/>) and the channel is set to use that variable? Thanks Lloyd * *

Sorry I see it makes more sense to record CDRs on freeswitch Jose Suero <ms(a)mstn.com> wrote: >_________________________________________________________________________ >Professional FreeSWITCH Consulting Services: >consulting(a)freeswitch.org >http://www.freeswitchsolutions.com > >FreeSWITCH-powered IP PBX: The CudaTel Communication Server >http://www.cudatel.com > >Official FreeSWITCH Sites >http://www.freeswitch.org >http://wiki.freeswitch.org >http://www.cluecon.com > >FreeSWITCH-users mailing list >FreeSWITCH-users(a)lists.freeswitch.org >http://lists.freeswitch.org/mailman/listinfo/freeswitch-users >UNSUBSCRIBE:http://lists.freeswitch.org/mailman/options/freeswitch-users >http://www.freeswitch.org

Found The OpenSIPS article great. Just one question does anybody knows if I collect CDRs at opensips level how can I adjust calls that have no bye in the event that the freeswitch server fails? Help designing setup
by Jose Suero 24 Jul '13

24 Jul '13

Hello all I'm setting up a simple voip service and I need some help, we currently have an opensips server with RTP Proxy on it, that handles registration for all phones, behind it there's one (soon to be several) freeswitch servers that handle sip trunks, voicemail, ivr and so on. Aside for some problems this seems to be working fine. We now have to collect CDR records and limit calls, do prepaid and so on. What do you think would be better: a)Our current setup opensips for registration rtpproxy (or mediaproxy if we use CDRTool) with freeswitch on the back b)Only have opensips as a load balancer and handle registration and RTP with freeswitch, and collect CDRs and limit there c)handle registration at opensips level and RTP with freeswitch (where would we collect CDRs?) thanks in advance Jose Suero

Accessing Valet_parking variables
by SamyGo 24 Jul '13

24 Jul '13

Dear Users, I've my valet_parking working very well, now I need to know which parking lot my call got parked at in a variable. I need that variable in order to save it in memcache for my SIP proxy to know which FS Server to route the call to for a particular parked call retrieval. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks, Sammy.

Apparent performance bottleneck and FS freeze
by Victor Chukalovskiy 23 Jul '13

23 Jul '13

Hello, Need some help finding the bottleneck here. Running 1.2.stable on a decent multi-core vmware platform. No RTP, SIP signaling only. Around 2500 sessions and 30 average CPS load. Essentially, it's a multi-profile .xml config that uses mod_lcr extensively (postgres DB). Yesterday it stopped processing calls with the following log output: 2013-07-21 06:00:37.642678 [CRIT] switch_time.c:967 Virtual Migration Detected!
