Build script in Ubuntu 12.04
Hi all, Does the script on : http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Ubuntu_Quick_Startunder "create Ubuntu packages and install them" also work for updating freeSWITCH as well, that is, if I ran it on a weekly basis, would it always keep me up-to-date or do I need a seperate one for "updating" freeSWITCH? Thanks in advance. Richard
Hi Richard, Correct me if I'm wrong, you are asking if this script will create new packages which will upgrade cleanly? The build scripts use an incrementing version counter which dpkg should pick up on, so if you perform a nightly/weekly build then you'll be able to upgrade the package (whether it will apply cleanly or not is another question, of course!). Let me know if I misunderstood your question - otherwise hope this helps! Cal On Tue, Jul 23, 2013 at 9:16 AM, Richard Mace <richard.mace@gmail.com>wrote:

Yes, that's what I was asking. As per another post, I am just trying to assist newbies, possibly many coming from Windows, in setting up a debian/ubuntu box running freeSWITCH as easily as possible. Richard
