That is what I had, just the 440 tone would set it off - I found a workaround.. I still don't understand the r/w flag. Will space separated frequencies do the OR ?

It's definitely supposed to be comma sep for AND frequencies in a single tone_detect call. Also, the r and w flags are discussed here<https://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Misc._Dialplan_Tools_tone_detect>. If you can reliable force a single freq in a comma sep list to trigger the tone detect then I recommend labbing it up on latest master, verifying, and then opening a jira. -MC On Tue, Jul 23, 2013 at 4:37 PM, Karl Schmidt <karl@xtronics.com> wrote:

I figured that, I suppose this sounds dense (and of course I've seen the wiki page), but every call has data from two ends - in two directions - 4 data streams (or more) so is read reading both incoming streams? or is it from the perspective of the caller (probably?) or the callie(probably not).

I just take this opportunity to gain understanding of tone_detect app. Is it possible to detect cadence with the combination of timeout and hits parameters? An actual case using FreeTDM/Dahdi: Ringing tone is given 425 Hz 1 sec on and 4 secs off. But a busy tone is 0.5 sec on and 0.5 sec off. The congestion at faster cadence 0.25 sec on and 0.25 sec off - although it's no longer important to disconnect a call. Or anybody can lead me to a better solution?
