How to cancel a bridge with multiple groups of destinations
by Ali Pey 21 Nov '13

21 Nov '13

Hello, We need to be able to cancel a bridge through bind_digit_action if the caller decides to go to voicemail. hupall cancels the bridge, but if there are other parallel destinations in the bridge command, it continues calling on those destinations. How can I stop bridge all together with parallel destinations? Regards, Ali

can't make outbound call using GV

collecting stats on RTMP calls
by Jon Hancock 21 Nov '13

21 Nov '13

Hi, I'm using FreeSWITCH 1.5.x as config'd in BigBlueButton 0.81. I need to find a way to measure useful stats on latency, dropped connects/packets. I have no current need to worry about scale. I'm only trying to find settings for decent voice quality. I've installed voipmonitor (w/o web gui) and so far haven't figured out how to get it to capture the call data. It looks like voipmonitor is running, the mysql db has the schema but no data when I'm running a call. Is there some FreeSWITCH module in need to get it work with voipmonitor? Any ideas appreciated. thanks, Jon

configuration params for webrtc
by Vincent Xia 21 Nov '13

21 Nov '13

i was trying to test jssip + freeswitch 1.2.14 for webrtc, it's said that freeswitch 1.2.14 supports webrtc and the only thing to do is adding in sip_profiles\internal.xml the following: which i suppose is already in internal.xml of freeswitch 1.2.14 package, but it's not, the internal.xml looks very same as the 1.2.10 one. i downloaded the .bz2 package instead of doing a git clone, is this the issue?

Anyone know how to get the AVMD beep to work without having to play audio during the detection? -----Original Message----- From: Andrew [mailto:aademattia@comcast.net] Sent: Tuesday, November 19, 2013 6:31 PM To: freeswitch-users(a)lists.freeswitch.org Subject: [Freeswitch-users] avmd only works if sound is being sent. Andrew I am trying to build an IVR using c# and mod_managed. I have a need to do this in c# to replace a current stack. I start the program using String err = ""; freeswitch.switch_core_set_globals(); uint flags = (uint)(switch_core_flag_enum_t.SCF_USE_AUTO_NAT); switch_status_t res = freeswitch.switch_core_init(flags, switch_bool_t.SWITCH_TRUE, ref err); search_bind = FreeSWITCH.SwitchXmlSearchBinding.Bind(xml_search, switch_xml_section_enum_t.SWITCH_XML_SECTION_CONFIG); event_bind = FreeSWITCH.EventBinding.Bind("SampleClient", switch_event_types_t.SWITCH_EVENT_ALL, null, event_handler,true); freeswitch.switch_core_init_and_modload(flags, switch_bool_t.SWITCH_TRUE, ref err); I am making a call using string Route = "{ignore_early_media=true,origination_caller_id_number=" + CallerIDNumber + ",origination_caller_id_name=" + CallerIDName + ",originate_timeout=20}sofia/softphone/" + NumberToDial; ManagedSession leg_b = new ManagedSession(Route); Then I am setting leg_b.Execute("avmd", "start"); after the call connects. I have found if I have mod_portaudio and have the audio play on my computer the beep will work but I am not making a softphone but a IVR. I think the key is freeswitch.xml but no clue how to fix it. One thing found out is if I am playing audio while the beep happen the even works but if I call and do nothing the beep never happens. Andrew

Bridge problem on b-leg
by Volkan Oransoy 20 Nov '13

20 Nov '13

Hi all, I am working on a multidomain freeswitch cluster and have a problem that I work on nearly all day. My FS box is behind an Opensips box. Opensips uses dispatch module to send requests to FS and adds path header to them. Registrations are fine but I can't bridge two registered account. I am using an application for serving configuration via xml_curl. A-leg seems ok but some how FS tries to reach B-leg with its registered ip address instead of domain name. That's why my application can't return config because FS posts ip address instead of domain. Here is a full log of a call from extension 1001 to 1002. http://pastebin.com/s5wD4xUQ Thanks in advance... Volkan

Freeswitch Performance
by Andre 20 Nov '13

20 Nov '13

Hi, I am testing out my FreeSWITCH 1.2.14 64 bit windows 8.1 on my Alienware Laptop with a very fast SSD and I7 processor with 8 GB DDR3 Ram. I have been using a pjsip test tool to test FreeSWITCH to see how it performs. Tell me if I'm wrong here, I believe if I sent "too many" calls to FreeSWITCH that it queues up the calls and sooner or later uses all the memory on my PC then just stops working. I do have the CPS sent to 1500 for testing but I never hit that high, I hit about 200 CPS. The CDRs that save to my database show it takes about 8 seconds from start time to end time. It does start out only taking milliseconds then it progresses to the 8 second mark. The calls are just going to FreeSWITCH then I'm sending back a 503. I have every mod turned off, logging set to 0, Core db going to a SQL Server and I even set FreeSWITCH to real time. Can anyone give me advise on what I can do to get better performance? I've also tested it out on my real server but in about 3 minutes of 50 cps FreeSWITCH uses up 3gb of memory and stops responding. I'm at a loss here on what else to do. Andre
