SQL ERR [database is locked]
by Klaus Hochlehnert 28 Feb '12

28 Feb '12

Hi all, I've compiled FS on a server mid of December. Since then it worked basically without problems (with some reboots in between for OS updates). But today no calls could be made or received. When checking the log I found this every 30 seconds: ... 2012-02-28 09:29:17.691556 [DEBUG] switch_core_state_machine.c:86 sofia/internal/10(a)192.168.1.22 Standard DESTROY 2012-02-28 09:29:17.691556 [DEBUG] switch_core_state_machine.c:504 (sofia/internal/10(a)192.168.1.22) State DESTROY going to sleep 2012-02-28 10:57:37.091612 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:481 SQL ERR [database is locked] COMMIT 2012-02-28 10:57:37.091612 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:481 SQL ERR [cannot start a transaction within a transaction] BEGIN 2012-02-28 10:58:06.951594 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:481 SQL ERR [database is locked] COMMIT 2012-02-28 10:58:06.951594 [ERR] switch_core_sqldb.c:481 SQL ERR [cannot start a transaction within a transaction] ... After rebooting the server everything worked again. Reproducing might not be so easy as it took several weeks to hit this problem (and it's a productive system). Any idea what this might be? Thanks Klaus

Problem with TLS connection
by Silvije Kalabić 28 Feb '12

28 Feb '12

Hello, Can somebody tell me if they have FS setup working using TLS connection only? We have some problems and they are very similar as described in this issue: * FS-3877: Reuse TCP connection for both directions * (http://jira.freeswitch.org/browse/FS-3877) How complex is root of this problem and is it something somebody else could solve if they had some time on their side and help from you? Attended Transfer
by Виталий Давудов 28 Feb '12

28 Feb '12

Hello! I'm new to FreeSwitch. I try to implement the feature att_xfer in my dialplan. In default dialplan I found this line: <action application="bind_meta_app" data="4 b s execute_extension::att_xfer XML features"/> i.e. by pressing * 4, I can transfer this call to another extension. The question is: how do I replace the "* 4" to "flash" when performing this function? Thanks in advance. -- Best regards, Vitaly Davudov "VIP-TELECOM-SERVICE" Ltd. Unregistering Phones When FS Is Manually Shut Down
by Jerry Richards 27 Feb '12

27 Feb '12

I noticed that FS does not send REGISTER expires 0 messages to registered endpoints when the Freeswitch process is shutdown for occasional maintenance. However, I did notice it sends SUBSCRIBE expires 0 to all presence subscribers. Is there a flag to cause it to send the REGISTER expires 0 in this case? Best Regards, Jerry

Help with debugging stuck threads/channels
by [Redhosting] Egbert Groot 27 Feb '12

27 Feb '12

Hi All, I'm running a freeswitch server with moderate load (at least, in my opinion..). Everything runs fine and stable. There is however one issue I have: occasionally a channel/thread gots stuck (and keeps that way until a full restart). Doing a uuid_kill doesn't help, and a uuid_dump got locked itself as well. I managed to get a core dump from the running process, and I can see a couple of threads in a locked state: "#0 0x00007f3878764be4 in __lll_lock_wait () from /lib/libpthread.so.0" etc. This is where my experience ends. How should I proceed in finding the cause of these locks? I've read these kind of locks can happen when doing 'fancy' things with cdr processing etc. In my setup this doesn't seem te be the case, as this is a 'simple' gateway only using the default modules. (for the stack trace see http://pastebin.freeswitch.org/18526 version: commit 224f4c0f8aefcb969ecab7ff9d3a66dce92bd943 / Tue Jan 24 11:38:41 2012 -0600). regards, Egbert.

sip stack has incorrect time

In the log snippet below, it looks like the FS core has an accurate local time, where the sip stack is logging time incorrectly.
