playing files through a remote URL
by Holger Esser 06 Oct '11

06 Oct '11

Hello, I am trying to write a simple ivr script that answers the call, plays a greeting and collects a few digits. Is it possible to fetch the audio through a remote URL (i.e. http://messageServer/en.us/greeting.wav<http://messageserver/en.us/greeting.wav> )? Or does it have to reside on the local file system or a mapped drive? Kind regards, Holger

ESL: not bein able to determine when SIP gateway is down when originating a call
by Anton VG 02 Aug '11

02 Aug '11

I'm trying to catch an error, in case I would dial wrong (non existent) gateway (intentionally!) I'm running ESL outbound listener, subscribing to all events, if I do bgapi 'originate' to a live gateway - there are normal events flow, and I can track what is happening. But if I issue originate to a gateway, which is not configured or simply down - there are no any events fired. I only have an error on FS console 2011-05-14 20:58:13.072927 [ERR] mod_sofia.c:4044 Invalid Gateway following by 2011-05-14 20:58:13.072927 [ERR] switch_ivr_originate.c:2447 Cannot create outgoing channel of type [sofia] cause: [INVALID_NUMBER_FORMAT] But HOW to catch the given in ESL? sofia.c seems just does not have event code for that cases if (profile_name && !profile_found) { switch_log_printf(SWITCH_CHANNEL_LOG, SWITCH_LOG_WARNING, "No Such Profile '%s'\n", profile_name); >status = SWITCH_STATUS_FALSE; } logically there should be a proper way to determine that gateway is bad in my ESL dialplan, by catching the proper event/reply/whatever, For the moment i did trick: esl.api('sofia status gateway GatewayWhichIsDown') When in production, and there is more than a single route, there will be plenty of cases, when you dial a bad gateway, so there should be a way for ESL dialplan to determine that a gateway is not callable for a moment, the reason WHY and to retry with another one. The trick above is bad, since: 1. blocking api query, before evey single gateway call attempt. 2. Gateway maybe known in UP state, but the state is stale, in dial in fact will go to DOWN gateway. So, ESL dialplan will screw in that case Any clue?

Complete wholesale app in freeswitch
by David Villasmil 21 Jul '11

21 Jul '11

Hello Guys, I'm finishing a "complete" wholesale application created on freeswitch and I was wondering whether it would be a good idea to put it up on the wiki. I just don't know how. Features include all the following parameters configurable via web interface: - Profile creation based on server IP where traffic is received. You can have multiple IPs, system will create multiple profiles/diaplans so it can differentiate. - i.e. offer to the same customer a "gold" routing on IP1 and cheap routing on IP2 - Customer add/modify/delete - IP source - Rates for client routes based on areacode - Prepaid or postpaid. - When cutomer balance is 0, no more calls are allowed. - limit max channels - Media by-pass - When by-passed, customer and provider will exchange RTPs directly. Else, server will be in the middle. - Provider add/modify/delete - costs for provider routes based on areacode - limit max channels - Routing based on areacode, gives great granularity. - Routes can be assigned multiple gateways/providers which can in turn be distributed based on weigth. Includes overflow to next configured GW. - Basic financial report generation (totals) by customer/provider - Basic traffic ASR/ACD report (totals) by cutomer/provider - Basic user administration. (No access level, only total access) - CDR export to csv file. I also have a prepaid card app... no web interface on that one though... Thanks all David

Hanged up callers doubt

Hi everyone! I having some troubles with my FS box(CentOS 5.3 64-bit, Xeon(R) CPU 2.66GHz with 8 cores , 8GbRAM, (git-bc19d28 2011-04-25 15-53-54 -0400) ). Sometimes, when a user calls to my box and hangs up, the user's channel remains on FS when i execute a "show channels" command. with "uuid_exists" command, im receiving "false". looking at freeswitch log, the last message for the channels is: 0eeb975f-2ae9-4f7d-9888-1478faf87d2d 2011-05-11 00:05:57.555142 [DEBUG] switch_core_session.c:1286 Session 38 (sofia/external/2562687580(a)10.0.70.6) Locked, Waiting on external entities Im not receiving "Ended" State after the previous message. did someone have seen this issue? or know a way to remove from freeswitch? Hello, In fs_cli, I can issue this command: sofia global siptrace on And I see all SIP traffic. But the SIP does not get logged to the actual log file. How do I get the same output to be sent to the log? I've searched through the Wiki but I'm not seeing a clear way to do it. Thanks! ----------------------- Eric Z. Hi, Trying to get mod_pocketsphinx working from the current git tree, FreeSWITCH version: 1.0.head (git-2629a57 2010-06-16 22-42-15 +0200) however, I got this error during startup: <snip> 2010-06-17 11:18:08.032645 [CRIT] switch_loadable_module.c:882 Error Loading module /usr/local/freeswitch/mod/mod_pocketsphinx.so **/usr/local/freeswitch/mod/mod_pocketsphinx.so: undefined symbol: ngram_model_get_counts** </snip> Lib paths were already defined in /etc/ld.so.conf as: include /usr/local/freeswitch/lib /usr/local/freeswitch/mod # ls -al mod/mod_pocketsphinx.* -rwxr-xr-x 1 root staff 1467 Jun 17 10:49 mod/mod_pocketsphinx.la -rwxr-xr-x 1 root staff 905769 Jun 17 10:49 mod/mod_pocketsphinx.so Was wondering if someone was able to get this working. Manually downloading the current pocketsphinx and sphinxbase and renaming them into 0.4.99 and rebuilding didn't help either. Would appreciate if anyone can point me into the right direction. TIA.
