Complete wholesale app in freeswitch
Hello Guys, I'm finishing a "complete" wholesale application created on freeswitch and I was wondering whether it would be a good idea to put it up on the wiki. I just don't know how. Features include all the following parameters configurable via web interface: - Profile creation based on server IP where traffic is received. You can have multiple IPs, system will create multiple profiles/diaplans so it can differentiate. - i.e. offer to the same customer a "gold" routing on IP1 and cheap routing on IP2 - Customer add/modify/delete - IP source - Rates for client routes based on areacode - Prepaid or postpaid. - When cutomer balance is 0, no more calls are allowed. - limit max channels - Media by-pass - When by-passed, customer and provider will exchange RTPs directly. Else, server will be in the middle. - Provider add/modify/delete - costs for provider routes based on areacode - limit max channels - Routing based on areacode, gives great granularity. - Routes can be assigned multiple gateways/providers which can in turn be distributed based on weigth. Includes overflow to next configured GW. - Basic financial report generation (totals) by customer/provider - Basic traffic ASR/ACD report (totals) by cutomer/provider - Basic user administration. (No access level, only total access) - CDR export to csv file. I also have a prepaid card app... no web interface on that one though... Thanks all David
I'd be interested in such a thing. There's a separate GIT for contributions which you can get access to, otherwise you could throw it up on a free github account. Then, just make a link to it on the wiki. Some, e.g. grnvoip, differentiate grey/premium routes by a brand/tech prefix rather than just by IP. You want it by different IP though? Also, for calling card, how does it handle the billing? I'd be interested in seeing it. -Avi On Thu, Feb 24, 2011 at 1:39 PM, David Villasmil < david.villasmil.work@gmail.com> wrote:

Hello AviMarcus, The calling card works the following way: - You can have multiple card access numbers associated to a card "name" - Each card is associated with a rate table. - Each areacode in the rate table has a route to use, which in turn is a distributor gw list. - Every gateway is actually a provider which also has a cost table associated with it. - After the call duration is calculated, the app sets a shcedule-api to disconnect the call. - When the call is hung up, a CDR is posted to the webserver via xml_cdr. - This CDR contains all information regarding the call. i.e. rate, cost, clgnum, cldnum, gw_used, balance_before, balance_after, ratetable, costtable, etc... Very cool-sounding stuff. How's the documentation? I'd recommend putting it in freeswitch-contrib and maintaining it there or doing a github as Avi suggested. (You can even do both and just have one be sync'd to the other.) If you have a github repo then you have additional infrastructure like docs and bug tracking specifically for your project. In any case, very well done! If you want freeswitch-contrib access then contact intralanman@freeswitch.org and he'll get you all set up. -MC On Thu, Feb 24, 2011 at 3:39 AM, David Villasmil < david.villasmil.work@gmail.com> wrote:

Hello, I do the route selecting with a lua script. overflow and load distribution with mod_distributor loaded via curl. the prepaid side is done with nibble, yes. But i don't like it too much, i might just deduct the balance when the call disconnects and let the authorization block new calls, so the balance might go under 0 a little... I found 3 things: 1) double-bill bug on the new version: http://jira.freeswitch.org/browse/FS-3153 (maybe older version too..?) 2) 0 balance ended up locking the gateway with stuck channels, I never figured out how to fix that 3) Lots of sql queries, or maybe I was just bothered by SQL spam in the log? and I'm barely running any concurrent calls, but it seems nibble makes a LOT of sql queries. 1) I'll see if I can look into this when I get a chance. I added myself as a watcher and if darren doesn't get to it i'll look at it. 2) I've never seen this. but I don't run significant enough volume to notice maybe? Was it reproducible? 3) This is a matter of tuning the nibble bill rate. There is a double sql update at the end of a call that is there due to a fix I put in at one point. I can look at removing the hangup hook at just work in cs_reporting. Though honestly I can't imagine that the second update really is hurting hte sql server. It is (generally) an exact duplicate or a very small offset calculation. Ultimately there are many ways to skin the cat and if you've found a better way for you thats fine. But I want to make sure that any glaring issues are addressed. Thanks for the feedback. On Tue, Apr 19, 2011 at 7:47 PM, Avi Marcus <avi@avimarcus.net> wrote:

Extra selects at the start and end of the call, I think. -Avi

If you know the rate and the balance for the call, you may calculate the maximum time for the call as max_time = balance/rate. Then you may schedule a hangup for that call max_time in the future, something like this: sched_hangup +" + max_time + " "+ call_uuid +" 'ALLOTED_TIMEOUT' That way the balance shouldn't go below 0, since you are hanging up the call before it does, with hangup cause ALLOTED_TIMEOUT. You are open to losing money though if they can make more than one call at once - each would be scheduled as if they were the only call, allowing the callers to drop below 0. Steve on iPhone On 27 Apr 2011, at 11:17, Nicolas Brenner <nico@clickfono.com> wrote:

Well, everyone is pretty anxious to see this. First question: what's involved in the installation? What are the dependencies? Secondly, do you have a sub-folder on the freeswitch-contrib repo? If not then Raymond can create one for you. You could also publish it to github and then link from github to your freeswitch-contrib folder at a later date. -MC
Hello and sorry for taking so long to answer. What do you mean what's involved? - You need to have a MySQL Server and a Web Server (same host is fine, but preferably different than FS) - You would need to compile your own FS, then copy all configs and scripts to the FS and to the Webserver as well as importing a MySQL schema. Everything else is done via the web interface. I don't have a contrib, would be nice to have one, or a github so i can work from there. (I've never used those for develoment, only for checkout ;) so be patient, please. David On Thu, May 12, 2011 at 10:09 PM, Michael Collins <msc@freeswitch.org>wrote:

I don't know, but are you sure you really need to use loopbacks for this? While they are helpful in some situations, it seems like they get used to solve problems that should be solved in other ways. BTW, am I the only one who thinks this? Best, Gabe
Hi Gabriel, I hope to be able to explain the situation. I have a webcallback. People can enter the phonenummer on my website and fs call back. I send a originatcommand example: orginate loopback/0891111disa 0891122 Fs call leg a also calls to the specified person. After the contract extension is made I will be called back on my cellphone legb. This is my callforwarding. The problem is that both lines are connected, it is not possible to give an Dtmf command to fs, to transfer the call to a extenion or so on. Hi Robert, now I begin to slowly clear. The problem will always exist as soon as I bridge 2 lines with originate. Enable this option, but put through the call but no call screening is possible. Hello Guys,
I'm finishing a "complete" wholesale application created on freeswitch and I was wondering whether it would be a good idea to put it up on the wiki. I just don't know how.
Features include all the following parameters configurable via web interface:
- Profile creation based on server IP where traffic is received. You can have multiple IPs, system will create multiple profiles/diaplans so it can differentiate. - i.e. offer to the same customer a "gold" routing on IP1 and cheap routing on IP2
- Customer add/modify/delete - IP source - Rates for client routes based on areacode - Prepaid or postpaid. - When cutomer balance is 0, no more calls are allowed. - limit max channels - Media by-pass - When by-passed, customer and provider will exchange RTPs directly. Else, server will be in the middle.
- Provider add/modify/delete - costs for provider routes based on areacode - limit max channels
- Routing based on areacode, gives great granularity.
- Routes can be assigned multiple gateways/providers which can in turn be distributed based on weigth. Includes overflow to next configured GW.
- Basic financial report generation (totals) by customer/provider
- Basic traffic ASR/ACD report (totals) by cutomer/provider
- Basic user administration. (No access level, only total access)
- CDR export to csv file.
I also have a prepaid card app... no web interface on that one though...

Thanks all

Hello Guys,
I'm finishing a "complete" wholesale application created on freeswitch and I was wondering whether it would be a good idea to put it up on the wiki.
Thanks all

I took a quick look at the Lua, and it looks like you bride within the lua scripts. That means the lua script keeps running during the whole bridge. At scale, you might start to see the overhead as an issue. Instead you can bridge to a custom static extension, e.g. "bridge_callingcard_$number" that then uses all the variables and completes the bridge, and launches whatever lua scripts needs to be run afterwards from there. -Avi On Wed, Jul 20, 2011 at 2:30 PM, David Villasmil <

Avi, I have indeed been looking into the overhead, even though it doesn't becomes until very high load. Good idea, I will look into that, will i not lose all variables set by the first lua? thanks for the tip! David On Thu, Jul 21, 2011 at 1:39 PM, Avi Marcus <avi@avimarcus.net> wrote:

If you are having lua "set" the variable, then those are actually SET in the channel for FreeSWITCH. Any other lua-specific variables though will not be carried over. -Avi On Thu, Jul 21, 2011 at 3:12 PM, David Villasmil < david.villasmil.work@gmail.com> wrote:
